Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Pro - Retail
Cons:USB stick has to go in front, no reset button
Pros:Very comfortable and responsive in the right setting. both mouse and keyboard are the best I have had. Works on windows 7. |
The main issue I have is that when I put the USB receiver in the back of my computer (PC interference?), it is very unresponsive or I have to sit really close. Installation was a bigger hassle then it says. When I first plugged in the stick did not respond at all. After searching dozens of sites -including Logitech's- and looking for a reset button on my mice or keyboard as advised (I swear I must've stared at every little nook and crease on both) I found that the reset button is on the USB receiver! DUH. When I pressed the reset button on the stick, after putting it in a front USB port, both mouse and keyboard shine. KB: I feel like this is the first keyboard where I'll actually use the functional keys. The buttons are smooth and it is slick looking (meaning it's not a sore thumb in the living room)Mouse: This mouse has maybe too much going on for it and I feel it won't come to its full potential in my hands. There are buttons to adjust DPI, an "alt-tab" button, the scroll wheel can be tilted horizontally, the pretty much standard back and forward buttons and one button that I have yet too find a purpose for! the scroll wheel acts as an accelerometer (wow, I spelled that right in one go) so when you give it a flick it'll go faster, simply brilliant!Software: Troubleshooting guide is two thumbs down for me, also it did not come with the product but it was easy enough to find on Logitech's website. Customization though is two thumbs up, and is instantly workable on KB and mouse. There is so much I can customize on this thing, it is unbelievable. As we speak I saw that it shows the battery life of both in the application.Overall, goo product! I would recommend it strongly, also the price I paid was ridiculously low -I paid 70.PS: I mentioned thumbs three times? crazyness!
