As mentioned, I had a problem with this product. I was out of USB 2.0 ports on my computer. I had two USB 3.0 ports that were not being used so I naturally plugged this into one of those. Windows 7 64-bit was unable to properly detect this product. Device manager will tell you an unknown usb device is connected, but the hardware id's are listed as "USB/UNKNOWN". After chatting with Logitech support reps over email I deduced on my own that the USB 3.0 ports were the culprit. As soon as it was plugged into USB 2.0, it auto detected and installed the driver on its own.So much for USB 3.0 backwards compatibility... Not sure who is at fault on this one.I had an ASUS P7P55D Premium Motherboard. I suspect all other P7P55D boards will have the same problem, if not all USB 3.0 motherboards. Just use USB 2.0 ports!!This also takes awhile to get used to... after weeks worth of hardcore gaming, I am only now getting somewhat used to the product.Very few key profiles are available compared to Ideazon's MERC Zboard.3 stars because I like it, but probably will never buy a gaming pad like this from Logitech ever again... |
This item is well made with a bazillion options, I'll be tweeking this for WoW for weeks :). It's simple to program and there isn'tmuch of a limit to what it can do. If your gonna game for hours this is the way to go. I havn't used this in 10-25 manteams yet but the macro options are gonna make it so smooth. The usb camle is very long to give you lots od adjustments to your comfortability. I know this is kinda petty but you can change the color of the bckight which is fun :).
