Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:An expensive investmentPlastic shifter feel
Pros:Great force feedbackLeather WheelClutch pedal Comment:
Have had experience with a Driving Force GT before and the G27 definitely makes racing sims much more enjoyable. There are however some reviews about an off center position problem that is caused by the hardware. I had gotten one of the defect wheels at first but NCIX was able to replace it for me. |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:Shifter lacks fluidity when changing gears; Feels clunky, rough, and plastic-y. When changing from 5th to 6th, I find the lever gets stuck on the separator between 4th and 6th gear. It feels like a proper shift but then I realize that I shifted to neutral by mistake. This could possibly be fixed by taking the unit apart, doing some filing, and spraying some WD-40 or silicone lubricant in/on the internal mechanism.Paddles make a pathetic little click sound that you can't hear over engine noise even at low volume. There is also a lack of tactile feedback when you depress them. It feels like bending the ends of a plastic ruler that makes a little click when it passes a certain point.I can feel the coarseness of the gears whenever I turn the wheel. Lacks the smooth feeling of a belt-driven system.Tightening the plastic mounting nubs with bare hands makes fingers sore. Use shirt for optimal tightnessness.Hat switch on the shifter feels cheap.LEDs in middle of wheel useless. To dim to see while driving. To small to see while driving.FFB can't spin very fast.
Pros:Leather provides a nice feeling. Satisfying to hold.Mounting on my desk is secure once tightened sufficiently.Pedal assembly has some heft to it which keeps it planted on smooth floors with the help of the rubber feet. The 3 pedals each have different spring strengths: Brake / Clutch / Gas, with brake being quite stiff, clutch kinda light, and gas light. On a scale of 1 - 5: Brake 5 - Clutch 2 - Gas 1Paddle shifters rotate with the wheel and are easy to reach even in tight corners.Use of metal for key working components, internal and external, makes it feel like a quality product.Wheel can fully rotate 1 and a quarter times in either direction.Force feedback system is not very loud. Motors provide a reasonable amount of resistance.Steering wheel base doubles as hand warmer.Accuracy of the steering is spot on. Same goes for the pedals. Throttle application is smooth and steady. Confidence when braking, not worried about locking up.Buttons on steering wheel easy to push with thumbs.Flicking the paddle shifters with your fingernails makes a nice metallic *ding* noise ;) Comment:
An impressive mid-level package from Logitech. Unless you are a super-hardcore sim racer, you won't need anything more than what the G27 has to offer. The price is right. |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:Wheel wears down easyShifter seems sensitive
Pros:Force Feedback is awesomeAdded clutch peddle from g25Leather Wheel Comment:
Well worth the money however it definitely won't last you forever, maybe its because i play a lot of GT6 but my wheel is less stiff since the day i bought it and has more play to it than before, also the shifter is sensitive wouldn't recommend heavy pressure |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:Price when not on sale.
Pros:Superb wheel feel and feedback. Excellent pedal feel and response. Easy to set up. Comment:
I bought this wheel + pedal set on sale as an upgrade from my Logitech Driving Force GT set that I have been using for the past year. The GT is a great wheel which can be gotten for $100 or so, and it is literally the best wheel you can buy in the entry level segment. The G27 was recommended to me by others I race with online and it wasn't until I got it set up and started using it that I realized just how good this wheel and pedal set is. Now I know why people are so excited and satisfied with it!I do a fair amount of online racing (10+ hrs a week) and have put this wheel through it's paces in a short period of time. I find it is very well built, is very smooth and quiet and that it provides excellent feedback via the steering wheel as well as the pedals; which give realistic resistance, modulation and feel. They are top notch.I see no need to be spending $400 plus for those pricy Fanatec sets. The G27 brings sim racing to an all new level. After acclimatizing to this wheel I found I was able to put in faster lap times, which says a ton about how good this wheel actually is!In my opinion this is a must buy if you race regularly, especially if you are a member of iRacing. |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:Holding Screws
Pros:Amazing, Fun, Worth it Comment:
Over all this product is great. A lot of settings to play with which is a good thing for precision gaming plus its user friendly. Feedback is totally worth the price. As for the screws that holds the wheel in place I have to say they are made in plastic, and I did however tight them a lot, and they got stuck, I had to use pliers to release it. When you push on the screw and turn they pop out and allows you to tight and un-tight and then you can pop it back in... Mine got stuck inside and wouldn't pop. So advice to others, snug is good enough. |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:paddles move with wheel (no biggie)they removed the sequential shifting from the stick shift (G25 had it)
Pros:Leather wrap, smooth gearing,900 degree turn radius,6 speed H shifter ,Clutch, brushed stainless paddles/peddles,6 buttons on wheel, force feedback, centering spring, hardware moddable (for the harder core Sym racer )goes on sale for $199.00 quite often. To many Pros to list. Comment:
I upgraded from a G25 and I have over 1500 hrs logged on this wheel & it's still going strong.I bolted mine to a Playseat Evolution & It's awesome ,so much more immersive. My wife tried it out & liked it so much she bought a G27 & a Playseat of her own & races on a regular basis (& holds her own I might add) with my online reprobate's & myself. In conclusion U get what U pay for & this Wheel is worth the $$$$$$$$$$$. |

Pros:Truely and epic wheel. very respnsive and realistic. nice leatherry felling on wheel. and construction is awesome Comment:
I had this wheel for 3 months and its totally awesome wheel. i use it for pc and ps3. truely a nice wheel for racing simulation. force feedback is perfect. guality of the wheel feels really solid. and im sure it will withstand alot of use in next few years or so. love how you can use the clutch. I just wish developers for pc games would stop the automatic clutch. it really bugs me you can change gears while not pressing the clutch |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:first one i got kept turning by itself, had to replace one from logitech. all is well
Pros:never experience anything like this before Comment:
looking for something fun, but also quite serious. this is the one to get. i guess, if you know throttle control and keyboard just can't get more actuate steering, this is the tool to get. take a while to get the best result, but it does help you a lot. strictly for GT5, NFS shift, NFS shift 2 |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:not
Pros:Well built. Leather wheel feels much better than plastic. Comment:
Clutch, break, gas all have different push pressure. Feedback force feels great. I just hope the motor won't give up on me any time soon!Paddle shifters made out of metal and when shifting they feel very durable and firm. |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:Lack of the sequential shifting option (other than the wheel paddles) makes most rally cars driving quite weird and unusual.

Beat all my best laps previously scored with a Thrusmaster Force feedback in a couple of laps on every circuits on F1 2011 and Dirt3.Thanks Logitech ;) |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:-not a con for the unit, but for my desk: I can't get the shifter to fit on my desk as it has a metal rail on the bottom that is too thick for the clamping device on the shifter... guess it's time to get a new desk!-a bit expensive, but if you want something good (and if you can pricematch it ($236!!! :DDD )) totally worth it-paddle shifters move with the wheel, which makes for an awkward shift if you have the wheel turned a bit
Pros:-Excellent quality-force feedback/centering spring is strong enough that it can actually rip the wheel out of your hand in some cases! (thankfully, that can be dialed down)-great feel when racing! Comment:
I've been waiting to buy a new racing wheel for probably 10 year (the old one still works, buuutttt...), so I was ok with spending a few dollars on a new one. The paddle shifters are nice, but I wish they would be fixed rather than move with the wheel. The stick shift and clutch is pretty cool (now I can teach my mom the basics of driving a standard without burning out the clutch on my G35... okay, I was never going to teach her to drive stick on the G35, but you get the idea.) Force feedback from the game is awesome, a bit overwhelming at first, but after a few hours, you wonder how the game you were playing was so great without it. |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:None.
Pros:Very realistic feedback. High quality stainless steel and leather design. Comment:
This setup beats anything I've tried. It looks and feels like a $350 kit. Logitech has really out done itself with this product.Without question the G27 will reinvent your idea of what Gran Turismo 5, and other racing simulators are like. When combined with 3d display technology your brain starts to play tricks on you and you end up forgetting that you are only playing a game.If you have to choose between this or your wife go get your credit card out of her purse. |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:Still kinda pricey as full price for a toy but it is what it is.
Pros:Good feel, lots of buttons and stuff, leather wheel woohoo! Comment:
Best wheel I've ever used, got it on sale at $249 and a pretty decent deal at that I think. Not sure it will help me be a faster racer but it looks and feels pretty damn good. |

Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
Cons:
I'm not much of a fan of the triangle buttons on the wheel. They look a little out of place. Maybe if they were blended in a bit better. They still have a use though, it's just the cosmetics.
Pros: Solid Build, much less noise then most wheels on the market, and really puts you in the car while using it. Comment:
The price on these babies are a little steep, yes. But buy it. Even if you have to sell one of your organs, buy it. You will never use a paddle/keyboard/other wheel ever again. It is really worth the money. Logitech makes great quality products. I upgraded from a Logitech MOMO which i had for 3-4 years and used the hell out of. So much so that the rubber on the wheel is wearing away, and I get the same feeling of quality from the G27. |
I've been playing racing games for years, and even had a cheap wheel some 10 years ago, but now with this G27 wheel it feels like all of those years were lost. The experience is completely different, especially if you have a game with good force feedback support (I'm playing GT6 but tried GRID2 and it wasn't great there).
