This is a great mouse for gaming, its accurate, durable and responsive. The problem i find is that the glossy surface makes my fingers and hands sweat and it does accumulate, other than that its great.

I'm on my 4th MX-518. Obviously it's not the most durable peripheral ever, but as an ex-professional gamer, the feel of this mouse and its flawless tracking have been invaluable to me.

I think this mouse is not worth the regular price but when it's on sale, it's worth every penny. I got these bad boys when they were dirt cheap and it was worth it. I like how smooth it flows and how the DPI can be adjusted just from one click. The back and forward buttons are very convenient when navigating the internet. Overall it was a good buy but there are better mice out there for its price.

By far the best and coolest looking mouse I've ever had the pleasure to own. It's so quick and the tracking is like no other mouse I've used before. Would buy again.

I bought this mouse to replace an old microsoft mouse that i was using. I noticed a difference right away, gaming improved soooo much once i started using it. After 3 years of use though I am wanting something with a more DPI, but for someone who is upgrading from a generic optical mouse this is n exellent choice.

I bought this to replace a generic mouse for gaming. I like the looks, the feel (it’s heavier) and the really smooth scrolling The forward and backward even work without loading the drivers. It’s really a great buy especially when it’s on sale.

I got this mouse when I purchased my laptop a few months ago. I liked it so much that I purchased it for my desktop pc as well. It's comfortable and feels right in your hand. I've used it for gaming and photo editing and it handles all with ease. I tried another mouse before this (a Razer, I believe? ...) .... but it was too small and made my hand cramp up trying to use it. This mouse, however, is larger and allows you to rest your hand comfortably over it's smooth rounded surface. My wrist isn't so sore now after 3 hours of playing Fallout!

The aesthetics are cool, most of the buttons on the mouse are automatically set up, it's great for gaming, and it's very comfortable to hold. One small complaint would be the dirt that tends to get around the edges or even under the mouse button, but regular cleaning should avoid any problems. At the sale price I got it at, it's a steal.

Got this after it went on sale and it works flawlessly. It has the right amount of buttons and works instantly out of the box.

I bought a G5 as a replacement for a MX510 that died on me... I regretted it the moment I put my palm on it. So many things I hate about it: the rough texture, the position of the DPI buttons (accidentally pressed one of them 3-4 times a day), the protruding scroll wheel (awkward to middle-click because it can go sideways), and the cord (it is textured like nylon rope so it scrapes against my desk generating an annoying noise). My original G5's wheel also squeaked so I had to get it replaced within the first month.After a few months I finally decided to bite the bullet and pay MORE for the G5's predecessor, the MX518. It was like re-uniting with my high school sweetheart. Screw the extra DPI, the MX518 is SUPERIOR!

Excellent mouse when picked up for $40, at 65 you could get a better mouse. Says 1800DPI only but when you install the drivers you can go up to 2000, although doesnt really matter as its pretty much impossible to control at that level. Great overall.

This mouse looks killer with the holographic dented shell and it fits my large hand like a glove. It honestly feels like it gliding on air when used with my func pad and the dpi switching works great.

i got this as a replacement for my mx500. btw, great customer service by logitech. but anyway, this mouse is a much improvement yet keeping the same design from previous mx mice. i prefer this over the g5.

This is good for gaming, but not needed if your just using it for the internet. Setting up the speed is easy to understands. If you get it on a sell like me then I say pick it up, but at $65(CDN) you can get it better for less on random sales.

I have had this mouse for 2 years now and it hasn't shown any signs of quitting.The feet on the mouse are still quite new and so long as I wipe off the residue, it will probably last me a while longer. it also has served me well for gaming

This is the third MX518 I've owned and I wouldn't buy a different mouse.It feels great for gaming, works well with internet browsing and functions well with Vista's Aero GUI.A great buy at any price.

bought these to test it and it was a good mouse but I prefer my deathadder thought it is really a good mouse for gaming because it feel smooth

Overall a very nice mouse. Has a good feel and easy to access buttons. I would have gone with the G5 for the little extras.This mouse makes a high pitched sound that may be noticeable when it's quiet around and you have good ears. This review was modfied by poster @ 12-18-08 03:49 PM

Great mouse, I love having extra buttons to use while gaming and surfing. The buttons are also programmable which is nice since I didn't really care for the in-game sensitivity switching. I also own a mx1000 but prefer this one to it.

This is one of the best gaming mice on the market. Get this on sale and it is quit the bargain. Would recommend this as your primary weapon for online gaming

i bought it 2 yrs ago, and it's still working like a charm. in games, i like the sensitivity change by pressing the + - on the mice. many keys= many binds

This was a great upgrade for me. Considering the price this mouse use to go for, it is now really worth it! My gaming experiance with this mouse has been great. The sensibility can be easily adjusted without going into any settings. The response is great and so is the feel. I would suggest this mouse to anyone who want's something better than a regular old mouse without paying a big price.

This is a fantastic, solid gaming mouse. I bought one of these for a friend over a year ago, and finally got one for myself. It's extremely responsive and ergonomic for your right hand. The holographic 'fake dents' in the top of the mouse also look cool.

well got to said this is the best $$ spend on such a good mouse. with so many setting you can adjust it almost anyway you like. i have had used 2 micrsoft mouse, mx800 logitech, lx8 wireless and a wire old school logitech. and the new mx518 is the best so far on prescion so farlove it. but it does take some time to adjust. but once you get used to it, it kickass
