Pros:Excellent SoftwareMicro USB ReceiverTracks well on most surfacesBattery LifeAmbidextrous Comment:
I'm fairly impressed with the quality of the product so far. After a few months of heavy use I'm incredibly impressed that the battery life is going strong. After five months with the original batteries, the software reports over 400 days of usage is left. We'll see how accurate that is...The mouse and the receiver are ready to go out of the box, as Windows detects them and uses some default driver. No software is included with the package, but you can download it from Logitech's website for free. I'm actually fairly impressed with what options are available to you as far as customizing buttons go. Since I've found very little application for the Left/Write scroll, mapping them to copy/paste respectively has been a great time saving feature. My only complaint is that it seems to have troubles tracking on surfaces that have a plain colour or no texture. Mousepad, End-of-Couch, Jeans or whatever seem to work fine, but when you go on say.. a desk or sheet of white paper for example, there is a noticeable difference.I would recommend this product to anyone with a laptop, and it is a MUST for those with netbooks. The Micro USB receiver and smallness of the mouse itself AND the fact that it tracks on your pantsare great bonuses. Also if you need the USB slot for something else, there is actually a slot for it inside the battery compartment. One other minor thing is the battery compartment itself. Its a spring loaded release that opens it up, and at times it feels a little awkward when you try to get it open. Not a detracting issue though as you'll figure it out easily enough. |
I chose this to go with the Logitech solar keyboard, it set up well using a single USB transmitter and works flawlessly with my A/V setup
