Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:None.
Pros:Very loud and clear. Comment:
Awesome speakers. Have had them for over 2 years now and work excellent. Combine with a nice sound card and you have yourself a nice surround sound system. The base under my table shakes the floor and plus the speakers around add to the tremble. AWESOME! |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:rear cables short
Pros:nice looking, better sounding, desktop headphone and vol control Comment:
Wow! Even with sub, front and centre so far (pending extension cables) the sound is great. To be fair, I also added a new sound card. Perfect for music, games and tv. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:There are no real weaknesses to these speakers, they are just great !
Pros:-Loud-Surround Sound-Nice Bass-Remote-Control whether is is 2.1 or 5.1-Wall mountable Comment:
I bought these speakers because I didn't want to use my garbage No Name speakers anymore and needed something with more bass. I got them for $89.99. Great price for a great set of speakers, highly recommended. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:70W Rms is a bit low to me
Pros:Good 5.1 for low budget Comment:
Very good system if you low on money, sound quality is good, signal is strong enough for gaming but a bit low for high volume music, if your interest is music get a high end 2.1 system for the same price |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:The woofer speaker does not have any protection or covering and it is on the very bottom of the box. So you have to be very careful picking the woofer up or moving it. Pick it up by it's sides will prevent you accidently touching the bottom where the speaker is.
Pros:I got them price matched.Good Sound! I'm a gamer Comment:
I bought them for gaming. They sound really good. The setup was easy but not easy. The speakers were easy to setup but there was some troubleshooting I had to do to get them to work. It wasn't the speakers fault though!Turns out having my audio plugs on the front of my case plugged into my mobo had disabled some of my audio ports in the back of my case where the speakers plug in making it sound like only some of my speakers were working. It was a headache to fix.. so hopefully it'll save someone else the problem I had.The speakers themselves though are great for the price. Very easy to setup, just plug them into the woofer...I've made several purchases from NCIX now, and I've been happy with them all so far! This review was modfied by poster @ 12-21-09 03:38 PM |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:- None
Pros:- Great sound- Matrix mode works like it should- Speakers are wall-mountable- Lots of bass- Controller is easy to use Comment:
Logitech has done it again with the x-540. I bought this to replace my 2.1 speakers and what a difference. The 5.1 surround really shows itself off when playing games. The best thing is that these speakers are wall mountable too. Explosions and bass thrives with the awesome subwoofer. For the price, I would def recommend. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:Front speakers cable are a bit short.
Pros:Easy control of volume with the wired remote. Matrix mode is pleasant. (Tries to make stereo in 5.1) Comment:
I got two of these and I am really satisfied with both. The only problem that I could think of is the length of the front speakers cables (You may have to buy a cheap extention. 5$). |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:poor music sound quality at volumes above 1/4, quiet
Pros:affordable, great sound for games, matrix mode is a plus Comment:
I'm fairly picky about my sound, and I'm not sure if I can reccomend these to anyone that demands quality audio.I 'upgraded' from a 10 year old pair of Altec Lansing ATP3's (36w RMS total, 2.1), for the 5.1 feature of these speakers. Compared to my Altecs, I'm finding these either very thumpy, or very crackly while playing music. A large part of the bass is noticably output by the center channel. Definitely not the clean, full range I got from my Altecs. While playing games, I find the sound clarity and range acceptable, if a bit quiet. I'm often running 33% or higher in World of Warcraft, in order to hear the background noise. With my old pair, I would rarely run anything above 25%. I love the 5.1 positional audio however. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers

Pros:These are great at $80 Comment:
These are great value for the price. Works well and sounds nice for the budget price. The centre speaker design is very good to fit on LCD monitors. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:Buzzing in the satellites when the volume gets too loud
Pros:Good treble, reasonable bass (Great for NON-bass fiends), artificial surround sound is excellent Comment:
I've had the G-51s before, and they certainly pumped out more bass. But I'm not a bass fiend, so I returned those and got these X-540s for a little over 70 dollars. The treble is actually MUCH nicer on these than the G-51s, and even the buzzing is less. I suspect the G-51s just aren't designed too well, while the X-540s are a well-known favourite among gamers. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:Satellite remote is not detachable, makes it hard to put into tight areas.
Pros:Great little speaker set, clear sound, astounding base Comment:
Picked these speakers up to use on my desktop machine with a Xonar DX 7.1, the sound is great and the bass is excellent. Can't really complain with the quality of the speakers and the price I paid for them.Logitech makes some surprisingly good products at a solid price range. Recommended for a small HTPC setup. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:Too much plastic in the packaging!
Pros:Easy to set up, powerful, price is right! Comment:
My old 2.1 Koss speakers were beginning to show their age, and when on sale the price is right for this unit. My music hasn't sounded so good in a while, and it was very easy to set this up even on my discount SoundBlaster Audigy card.If you've got a 2 channel card you can activate "Matrix mode" to have access to all 5 speakers. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:Seriously trying to think of a con and I cant..unless your expecting sound quality equal to 300$+, you are not going to be disapointed in anyway. I was definitely impressed with the sound quality for the price. Oh, and the matrix mode. Alot of reviews brag on it..but I just see that it drop s the quality when being used. Yes, it makes apps that dont play on all 5 speakers play on them..but it just seems to drop some quality when doing so. Not a major con though..its just an extra perk the speakers come with.
Pros:Brought this on one of the weekend sales for < $50.When you need a speaker system this is the best price/performance ratio you can get. It's sufficient for casual gaming, movies, music, etc. The quality is great, The distortion at low and medium levels is non-existent, and at higher volumes it's tolerable. Comment:
If you are looking for a great 5.1 set for movies and video games at a wonderful deal, look no further! Make sure you have an appropriate sound card to enjoy the full range of sounds. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:Works "better" in 2.1 in contrast to 5.1
Pros:Cheap yet no cheap in quality Comment:
Bought this at the surprise sale about 2 weeks ago. Great sound, good bass, and of course, pretty cheap for a 5.1 surround sound system. However, don't expect to be using a computer in a movie theatre with these, since they're more like just "funner" speakers than your average 2.1 configuration. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:I wish the cord for the two back speakers were a bit longer, but only because I mounted both of them on opposite walls of each other.
Pros:- The speakers are mountable to the wall- remote control to control the bass and volume- The sound is very clear- The bass is very nice Comment:
This was an awesome upgrade compared to my old speakers. I got them for $60, which I thought was really cheap and it was worth it. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:lacking digital sound - like Z-5500
Pros:powerful, stylish, price $60 Comment:
I bought these for the price of $60. I am happy with my purchase and these will do wonders for music on my PC. |
I bought this on sale a while ago for $69.99, definitely worth the price. Loud and clear sound, obviously not as good as a higher end THX 5.1 speaker system but definitely does the job and does a good one too.
