Logitech Z130 Speakers
Cons:None really. There's no equalizer on them, but that's not what I look for in lower end speakers. I like the style, but would have preferred if they were designed to lay down sideways (I do it anyway, but they aren't ideally shaped for it based on the exact way in which I want to keep them directly underneath either side of my LCD monitor on a small computer desk.
Pros:Excellent sound for the price, they feel very solidly constructed, Extremely useful headphone jack (which automatically mutes the speakers when connected). They look nice. They're smaller than they look in the photo (they're very small, but feel better made and heavier than other speakers in this price range. I am using them as a stand-in until I can fix my 500 Watt RMS Cambridge Soundworks system, which I was using as just a 2.1 system, and which served me very well for 10 years, but which needs the sub/amp repaired or replaced (that system was 12 times the price). Comment:
Excellent all-around value for the price. Surprisingly good sound, exceeding my expectations for a sound system with no amp in this price range. I was previously using a much more expensive system, which is why am so impressed that these aren't even that much worse for my purposes. I went with no-amp because it is a lot easier to control how much sound carries in an apartment building if you have no subwoofer, so these will be sometimes good to use even if/when you have a better sound system, depending on the time of night, or whether you want to avoid annoying your roommates/ neighbors, etc. (and this is very important I think). These speakers have exceeded my expectations for the price. They kick the crap out of most if not all speakers that are even a little bit cheaper.I'd strongly recommend these to anybody who wants a compact pair of cheap speakers. It's not worthy buying anything cheaper unless you need something that's more portable or even more compact. |

Logitech Z130 Speakers
Cons:Cheap plastic on the back can be warped if you put enough force on it.
Pros:Cheap, great size and sound for the price. Comment:
Look, guys. It's a $31 set of speakers. I bought these for a client to use for office only, so make sure you don't purchase these for gaming. The speakers do sound tinny out of the box, but that can easily be fixed using the equalizer. Another winner from Logitech. |
nice clear sound from these well made speakers
