It is a camera for live internal monitoring, not for outdoor recording. It has visible white LEDs and requires a protective housing if mounted outdoors. If you want to keep an eye on a room in your house it is a fair product, especially if you want audio, but not a product for recording or outdoor use. I can totally see why depending on your application, why this could be the best or worst camera you ever purchases.

I do not recommend this product. There is no control over the wireless ip. Performance is very slow.

Bought 2. They are cumbersome. They are slow. They do not record live video. Cannot control the IP assignments on the wireless side. Says it works with iphone - it doesn't at all. 3rd party software included is junk. Yes, I flashed to the latest firmware, downloaded the latest software, it didn't matter. Kills the wireless bandwidth in my home ( better off wired ) Save your cash - for this kind of money you can buy a few d-link models that work great.

I really like the style! Its very modern and not an eyesore like many cameras I was looking at online.
