The latch broke off when I tried to attach the fan to the motherboard. Latch is very flimsy. I would not buy this product again.

fan runs fine and quiet, very cheap hold down bracket felt like it was going to break! have it cooling a AMD Phenom X4 9750 2.4Ghz 4MB 95w OEM CPU. running 6 apps. and 3d game temp. never goes past 44c

its quiet and my processor doesn't over heat so it working like it should. the only problem that i had and was very minor was the installation. i just bought an msi mother board with an am2 slot and it didn't quite fit right, so its on a slight angle. but it does its job just fine

It's basicly a stock heatsink, though I have to note the little clip that holds it in place is extremely cheap, even for a $10 heatsink, much flimsier than an actual stock heatsinks clip. Almost felt like it could break while installing, and I've installed quite a few over the years. Just use care when installing and you'll be fine though.

works great, had no problems. used 1st for a 754 cpu, then changed over to dual core am2... easy to install and at this price, you cant lose...

bought this thing to cool my Athlon dual core and while it keeps it right around 100'F it sounds like its operating several thousand RPM beyond what its designed for. this is the noisiest fan i have ever owned, partly because the heat sing garbles the airflow. i think the fan itself is pretty quiet but putting it on that heat sink just causes a lot of turbulence: NOISE.

I used this cooler for 8 mths and was very happy with it. Was it quiet? With 6 other fans and 4 hard drives I dont know. It kept the cpu temp 100-120 deg F according to what I was doing. The only reason I replaced it was a battle between me and the Blue Screen of Death, Which this product had nothing to do with.

I purchased this product to replace my aling CPU fan in my HP computer. Took it right out of the box, pulled my old one out. Put on some new heat conducting paste, installed the new one and away it went. Keeps my CPU cooler than the OEM one that came with the computer and it is quieter also. It fit with no mod's at all. Should have bought 2 and kept 1 as a spare at this price.
