The fan has changed my temp drastically. I have a 2.53ghz P4 northwood and just before it was at 55c(idle)-84c(load). Now its at 32c(idle)-45(load). I am extremely pleased with this cooler. The stock intel coolers are horrible. The clips for the cooler had been a little tricky to snap in. It felt like the clips had been going to bend or break, but i lastly got it following about 10 minutes. You have to get this. It may well look just like your stock cpu fan and hs, but It makes a huge distinction. specially for those men and women that have compaq hp or dell computers that have horrible fans and heatsinks

I got this cooling fan to replace the one that had been in this Rig for Years (This was at one time my own Hi-End Rig witch was at some point passed down to my eldest Son 2 weeks ago). The old fan could no longer cool The Hi end P4 three.4ghz processor (Witch for this generation of CPU's, was essentially the max except for the 2mb cache version of this processor for this socket) and would shutdown the Computer soon after an hour or two of use. Considering that P4 socket 478 fans of excellent are now acquiring harder to discover (Since the 478 socket was discontinued in 2005 for the LG 775 socket). On the strengh of the testimonials for this CPU cooling fan I went ahead and ordered it and so far I have been really content with the outcomes. It was extremly simple to set up (It has 2 clips that latch appropriate on to the Mother boards CPU housing) and after installed turned on appropriate away. The RPM is great for my Intel Celeron two.5. Keeps it cool ALL DAY. It in no way throttles back at all. It wasn't the simplest to install due to the fact i kinda broke my clips considering i can use the ones it cames with but i managed to put my old clips back with each other and use them. Not soo loud but also me sound doesn't matter just the overall performance its not like im in a library or something. The hardest thing is just installing it. I had to remove my Energy Provide and just install it. Energy Supply and just set up it. Also New Egg my not inform you this but it comes with pre applied THERMAL GREASE, so no require to acquire anything bring about its currently on the bottom of the heatsink.

This was just what I necessary. I was dumbfounded why I kept lagging so significantly in WoW till I read a forum that mentioned to verify my CPU temp. That was it. looks great and as quiet as stock intel fan and cools considerably far better dispite lower fan speed (rpm)! none purchased this a single when i upgraded my computer from a celleron to a OEM pentium 4 prescot and im content with it .

Purchased as I required a low profile cooler in a micro atx construct. I attempted the locate the biggest cooler that would fit in my Antec nsk-1380 case. This fit the bill. Cooling is excellent and I have under no circumstances had any heat matters. May yield greater outcomes lapped. Was not absolutely flat. More substantial fan would have been great. Kind of noisey. If you require a cooler for an older socket 478 and do not have the space for a substantial cooler, this a single works.

Operates, but... Other CPU coolers I've employed operate at variable speed (as controlled by motherboard/BIOS), but this one does not - exact same motherboards. Runs at fixed, rapid RPM and fairly noisy (small 70mm fan). Temperatures no better than stock coolers. I've pulled these... Excellent high quality, but absolutely nothing else to advise this cooler. Appear for anything else.

The cost. The attached fan. Copper is thumbs up. Pre-applied paste. A tad louder than the input fan previously in my personal computer. It's not a big deal although simply because my preceding heat sink didn't even have heat sink fan. Nicely made.

I refreshed an only P4 socket 478 machine and in the procedure replaced the stock Intel unit with this a single. The temp for the P4-three. runs between 50 and 70 C. That's a slight improvement more than the Intel fan/heatsink. The metal clips make for a very secure installation. None

Really brought down the idle and load temps of my three. P4! My entire machine is loud so sound isn't a element for me. Obtaining the required cooling is worth it although, my cpu temps never get above 50ºC. I advocate this incredibly much, nice inexpensive upgrade for the stock intel fan, especially if yours is old and tired!Also a side note, the clips are Incredibly easy to figure out and definetly hold the heatsink on incredibly tightly! None, people today say it's loud but i haven't heard a distinction in sound from my machine. thumbs up, great product for the funds for sure!

All copper. Good airflow. Pretty quiet. The protective cover more than the supplied thermal paste produced an imprint on the paste (a handful of numbers and two other smudges). I had some of my own so no massive deal, but if I did not have it, I would have had to get some. Pretty straight forward install. No directions included, even even though outside of box says it has them.

This unit came out of the box pregreased and ready for installtion. The unit and integrated hardware is high good quality and installation took really small time. The 70mm fan is a tiny loud but that was expected, but it is not objectionable. I purhased this unit to finish a P4 legacy method I was placing together. For the price tag it is a great deal and an powerful cooler.

All copper cube in a protective cage, great cooling, long lasting item. It's little fan started making a buzz-saw sound and started quitting on me, and the temps began going up. I'm guessing the only con here that this poor tortured issue didn't last me as long as my upgraded P4 3.06 Ghz. Items aren't immortal! :( Due to the fact I tortured this factor with numerous hours of on-line FPS gaming and operating a server 24ǝ for weeks with out shutdown (reboot only mainly due to the fact fall of 2006), I wasn't surprised the fan committed suicide. Then I purchased a Rosewill RCX-Z200 92mm Ball CPU Cooler here to replace it, just trying out the brand. This product lasted me nearly 6 years of work, operate, work. And I felt like I have to write a good critique right here, even even though the Socket 478 is mainly gone :)

This cooler lowered my CPU temp by 15 C! I have an older Intel socket 478 mobo and it quickly installed in seconds. Fan is quiet and seems to push adequate air by the fins of the heatsink. None -- it's performing the job. Don't have to be concerned about producing a mess applying the thermal grease. This cooler ships from the manufacturer with the appropriate quantity of thermal grease currently applied to the copper heat sink.

It's fairly silent. It's effectively constructed and engineered. It's sturdy. It's been operating really effectively for more than a year 6 days a week 6hrs a day. None so far I'm really please with this cooler, honestly, Get IT! It lowered my Pentium four Northwood's temperature to 27°C on a 23°C space at complete load!

this sync is ferce and retain your cpu chillyhad it's own thermal compound Intel mobo's dont like this sync, see below. brackets....they dont operate for an intel MOBO...if you have an intel mobo and ordered this sync (like ME) then your going to have to make four little zip-tie chains to pull this factor in spot...after it's there its very good. like it WONT MOVE Anywhere!it is cooling an intel P4 HT three.4ghz on a staight forword intel mobo...any VG from 2007 and prior to can be handled easily

Keeps my two.two Ghz Pentium toasty cool at 20'C. Does not come with mobo retention module bracket. Retention clips might want to be bent so as not to break the mobo retention bracket. Effectively worth the low price ifyou are trying to keep an old Pentium four alive

Performs good keeps my P4 3. Prescott processor among 35 to 41 degree depending on the load of the processor, fantastic efficiency, low noise, low cost value, most bang for your buck. Have to have a good amount of air flow going via your Pc to keep the low temperature continuous. More than all their is no cons. to it based on my usage.
