If you've got a 95 watt or less CPU you're very good to go, requirements lots of ventilation to overclock but easiest most stable OC I've ever had. NOWHERE does newegg or MSI say anything about the board becoming limited to 95watt CPU unless you dig via lists that are not posted at msi.com OR amd.com.Tried to choose an general rating of "zero" eggs, apparently newegg nonetheless doesn't get it. Under-implemented designs, insufficient cooling apparatus even at rated power consumption. The hardware industry is seriously finding poor once more, why any day I bet companies are going to commence claiming their AM3 boards are AM3+. Wouldn't know...didn't get sufficient use out of it! Have now had two of these go dead on me. 1st one making use of the Easy OC switch set to ten%. Second one died following performing it manually through the BIOS. These motherboards don't seem to OC properly with the 1055t's at all! I just want my cash back, but my 30 day RMA period expired a week ago. Don't think I'll be shopping for any a lot more MSI boards once more! Has Hdmi, Sata 6 gb/s, Usb 3., decent onboard video, and core unlocking. Lan died immediately after a week. By no means had any complications with other MSI boards before, but this to be a challenge with this model. If this board is for a good value I would get it once again. Nonetheless, only if you have a pci ethernet card handy.

This MB rocks, received it a handful of days ago and quickly installed it into it's new micro case house, fits nicely and no complications. Installed a X3 440, four Gigs of ram and it booted up. Installing windows was as smooth as silk and had no issues with drivers. This MB unlocked my X3 440 and now it shows up as an X4 and it simply overclocked to 3.four without significantly at all and is running stable and cool. I must say that it positive seemed like it installed Win-7 incredibly rapidly or possibly it was just me, but I was surfing the internet in 30 minutes. It price cash, but my 13 year old is going to adore it, this is going to be his B-day present :)A big upgrade from his socket 939 4600+ machine which will be handed down to his little brother. I have not genuinely tried any important OC but I am guessing that would not be to considerably of a task from this MB.Incredibly solid built and a fantastic MB that should final a few years to come, hopefully until he goes to college :)

Great functions. Has USB three. and SATA II, each which are relatively emerging technologies. Also has "Easy OC" switches, which let you to hit some switches on the motherboard to switch in between ten%, 15%, and 20% overclocking (I've never ever used them at all, although... not major in the entire OC factor). I've had this for about 3 months, and I've had no concerns. It plays rather nicely with my 1055T (I didn't have to do any odd things with it; it recognized the processor out of the box). None :)

This is my first create, but the quality of this board is apparent. Exceptional! Functions fine with both Windows 7 and Linux. The only difficulty I have with this board(being a newbie) are the mounting holes. Most mATX boards have 8-9 holes but this only has six. This leaves 1 side unsecured to the case. I had to eliminate the energy and IDE cables once. The board flexes a massive amount even holding it down. I got this with a cpu combo deal and rebate. I don't know if it's worth the complete price tag, but once again this is great high quality.

1) Reliable (Well it employed to be ahead of updating BIOS and DriversƜ) Bios recovery possibilities if you goof on settings.three) Characteristics! 4) Unlocking 4th core!Cons: 1) The blinking CPU state LED need to default to off. Thankfully you can manage it in BIOS to turn it off. 1) CPU State LED must default to off. It is really annoying if you have a clear case, way as well bright to be blinking all the time!two) Soon after BIOS UPDATE, SmartFan quit working. My CPU fan is operating at 3400RPM constantly, which is Quite LOUD and as I have built what WAS a Silent personal computer, I am rather upset about this. This worked ahead of updating BIOS this month, you could set the smartfan manage really low, now it will NOT save those settings.three) Audio driver borked. Again, it was trustworthy Before updating to a newer audio driver from MSI's web page. Now, the audio driver randomly dies following 12 to 24 hours from time to time, forcing a reboot to get audio back.Seriously. The NOISE Issue with smartfan not operating any longer is Actually a critical dilemma for me. My personal computer is in my bedroom and getting the CPU fan run at 3400 RPM Continually IS Extremely @*!* ANNOYING! I am about to throw the whole point via a wall! Come on MSI, release a patched BIOS that will enable smartfan to operate again! I believed of rolling back the BIOS to an older version, but Reside Update doesn't appear to offer that solution!

Got this in a G.Ability 4GB/Mobo combo at a great value but .. This mobo is a MSI item placement mistake. It has a lot of the goodies like SB850 and NEC USB 3. but comes equipped with only has 4 phase power for the CPU which limits this board to no end. Lets say every phase is ㅖW, 4x30W. If you had been to use a 125W quad, OC'ing will raise the wattage to W. Now what? why are the two AUX fan headers proper next to every single other?? With the northbridge handling the graphics, it gets Really hot. The plastic push pin chipset coolers are just poor. I had a quite challenging time setting this issue up. It kept on hanging even with known excellent working HW that I was transferring. The board demands lots of manual BIOS adjustments to get it operating. I suspect this board is getting phased out. Get the newer 880GMA-E55 instead. It has ALL the corrections that I mentioned above at about the similar cost.

SATA three, USB 3, all the cool stuff you see listed on the motherboard Very first motherboard we received worked fine until right after 2-3 hours of use it created a pop and smell arose, soon after seeking at the motherboard in detail, we noticed that the transistor or chip on the upper left side had a big burn mark. RMAed the mobo with MSI and right after successfully booting and testing for stability with a variety of tools (Prime95, FurMark), the second motherboard caught on fire in the exact identical location as the initially one particular. See other thoughts... This is the first time in my ten years as a system builder exactly where a motherboard has in fact caught fire, I assumed it would shut off, but no, it just caught fire. Beware when acquiring this motherboard, this has pretty a lot happened twice. Purchased this to relace an unstable Biostar A880G+ and couldn't be happier so far. Plug and play. 1st board in a though that I didn't have to play with the memory settings to get it to run stable. Have all four cores of a Phenom II X2 555 unlocked and running stable. Exciting how a lot cooler the cpu runs with this board. Not confident if the old board had a faulty temp sensor but it utilized to run at 125deg F and now runs around 80deg with a low profile cooler. Good robust bios with beneficial descriptions for a lot of of the settings. Northbridge heatsink looks wimpy. Will most likely get a larger one particular if I OC the video. Not positive if this is a challenge with the board or with my case but the mounting holes at the back of the board do not line up with the standoffs on the Silverstoone Sugo case I have. They are riveted on so no choices to move them. Last board wasn't as long so can't compare.

This board has been great so far - Enables for a lot of customization in the bios, and even has reccomended ranges for voltage - just so you know when you're pushing points too hard. It also has an automatic OC feature. You'll have to tweak for Unlocking though. Unlocking still takes some tweaks for actual stability. Mine didn't catch on fire like other individuals O.o (or hasn't yet :P)

Uncomplicated to install. Runs nicely. Ethernet port speed no longer runs at 100 Mbit/sec. Right after only two months of operation port speed will only run at 10 Mbit/sec. I called MSI tech support and there are no known complications with the ethernet port on this series of boards. I was then directed to the driver updates page of the MSI internet site, on the other hand, the call came to a rather abrupt end when I stated that I'm operating Ubuntu Linux. I was told the Linux drivers may be unstable. I've been running Ubuntu Linux on several machines for a couple of years and have never encountered any issues with any ethernet driver. I disabled the ethernet port and installed a spare 10럼 NIC card. I assume I'll live with it. Good board i did not get a chance to use it till lately due to the fact it is for my backup system. Cost was extremely good I got it through a shell shocker with free ram. The bios did not want to be updated to run the latest processor. Lots off excellent capabilities for the cost Smaller, some of the mounting screws are not at the finish of the board so you are acquiring about 2 inches that extend fron the screws. It runs the CPU fan at max speed all the time. Connections pins are not marked you have to keep going back to the manual to get it suitable. I was able to energy this board with my old 420 watt, mobo 20 pin power provide. Dont get this board and measure it up to a 3 hundred doller board then give it a negative review. Keep in mind what you are paying for.

Great features such as SATA 6 and USB 3, lovin' the heavier capacitors and 'Military class' elements. Lots of space to upgrade later. none so far Fantastic performance from this board so far. Even running on-board video (which I generally hate and steer clear of) efficiency is very good. Very first MSI board I've owned, and probably the 1st of a lot of. Applied to only by .... another brand... possibly won't soon after this expertise.

decent for a simple motherboard but absolutely nothing to write home about stupid rebate needs- soon after installing the board to make confident it didn't need RMA just before filling out the rebate information I uncover out I require the serial number for the board to get the rebate. The serial number is situated only on the bottom of the board so i would have to totally dismantle the computer once more to get to it. Not worth the ฤ rebate which I am sure is what they bank on. I am sure really few people really go to the trouble of receiving this rebate. Remarkable feature set for the price. The memory slots are close to the CPU, so a huge CPU cooler will cover two of them. I'm working with the Hyper 212 and may well be able to use low profile ram if I ever want to use those 2 slots (which I almost certainly won't). The simple OC dip switches do work, but if you have a Black Edition chip you don't want to use um. You get a 10%, 15%, or 20% bump to the FSB with the flip of a little switch. The BIOS set up was simple to navigate and I did a moderate OC (max recommended voltage) on a 720 chip in about 15 minutes. two.8 GHz-> 3.6 GHz was rapidly and stable with out shortening the life of the chip with excess voltage. I even stepped down to a three.5 GHz OC to lower my fan noise and maintain temps. Also the new Bulldozer chips will be employing an AM3+ socket, which means you won't be able to drop 1 onto this board.

-uses new 8xx series chipset-USB 3.-fantastic for overclocking-6Gb/s SATA -my initial DOA motherboard...RMA'd and got 1 that works now-temperature sensors don't work correct...off by about 10 degrees Celsius-Clunky windows software for overclocking Absolutely nothing is worse than receiving a DOA motherboard...even so besides that, it's a very good motherboard for the cost. It's important selling point is its capacity to be overclocked employing Windows based software...which unfortunately works horribly and resets each time you restart the computer system. Critical overclockers use the BIOS anyways but to get a DOA and discover it's main selling point is a flaw...minus two stars.

Only 1 SATA cable, no floppy cable, SATA ports at a proper angle on the motherboard 1 of the easiest builds - it just worked :) Memory cooler goes over the CPU heatsink - a taller CPU heatsink and it wouldn't have fit ࿿W CPUs have lower profile heatsinks). Memory cooler seems developed for motherboards with 6 sticks of RAM, it is too wide for motherboards with only 4 memory slots, and it hits the optical drive mounting cage on the other side from the CPU.

I commonly only acquire Gigabyte nevertheless, I have had good encounter with MSI in the past. This motherboard is the last MSI product I will ever purchase.2 of the 3 have intermitent LAN issues. Sometimes when I boot the pc I have no world wide web connection at all. I have to re-start a few times to magically get world wide web again. (Yes I went to their web page and got the newest drivers) I have read that this problems is really prevalent and I am far more than upset that they would continue to sell a item realizing there is a significant concern. The last factor I want to do is rip apart 3 computers and ship the motherboards back for replacement. I will make do with a PCI network card or a USB wifi adapter. Even so, that is an added cost and hassle you should anticipate from this motherboard. The three mobo wasn't without having its problems. The DVI connector just will not work at all. I am forced to use the VGA connetor to see anything at all. I don't come on here to rant and rave about garbage products. 99% of my Newegg experience is incredible. This is my 1st non 5 egg review. I develop a lot of computers and have spent บ,000+ on Newegg. Neweggs rapidly delievery and very excellent packaging get an additional 5 eggs this time. I bought this because it was recommended to me because of my tight budget, and I was very happy with the results. But I was concerned that I can't crossfire since it only has one PCI x16 slot.
