Simple install! it looks cool! It has a CPU temp readout on the side of it so you can see in it! also the small MSI logo lights up blue! These couple of issues I did not know about when I ordered it! I loved the sticker on the box so a lot i removed it and put it on my case. till I cut out some vinyl decals for it! I seriously adore the expandability of it! with five pcie 2. slots! also the usb three. is chill!this was my 1st develop! I did not fry anything and it runs like a beast! 7.four out of 7.9 windows encounter rating on my develop ! It was a small pricey and these rebates are a pain to do.. They put the case audio like at the back of the case I suggest you order atleast an 11 inch extension for your front audio! Also the 8 pin power connector is not in a nice spot simply because I was not able to run my cable nicely by way of the back! I wish I could supply some... I genuinely do. Fighting this thing for a month, and it still doesn't function. What is the challenge? It doesn't like my GPU. Just receiving it to function stable enough to install the OS took that extended, and none of the range of crashes appeared video related in the slightest until this weekend when I was finally able to get adequate data on precisely what was happening that tech assistance could tell me the challenge. I've spent a month trying to get this factor up and operating... and with six years of skilled expertise building/repairing computers, that's saying a lot. If you like what you see with this board, do all your homework before you obtain and make certain it can support your GPU, or any other hardware for that matter. My guidance? Stick with a name that is far far more consistent with its supported hardware and top quality. Have built a lot of systems more than past 15 years. This was the most entertaining. This board really sets a high common. I anticipate it to last 5 to 6 years. Set up was a little tricky but nothing too hard to manage. Excellent gaming system. None that are the board or MSI's performing. There are a lot of technical problems to recognize and you must take your time. At initial boot the dreaded ff popped up. Backed up and retraced all the steps. Reseated cpu heatsink. plugged in p4 power and voila, we have ignition! Rock solid. You need to take time to fully grasp what you are doing. It's not really that challenging but you can miss one little step and it won't work. Appear up some out of the box critiques, videos, etc. You can do it with a bit of patience. |

Lots of cool functions First board lasted 2 months, then it would randomly reboot. Board was replaced by MSI, nonetheless even though waiting for the RMA approach I purchased a ASUS board for the interim time. I lastly discovered a use for the replacement board and booted up the new (RMA replacement) board which posted a few occasions but had severe issues flashing FF. MSI was of no support resolving the challenge. Thank you NEWEGG, for resolving my challenge. This will be my last MSI board, this isn't the first model to be problematic over time. Superior quantity of bells and whistles. Plenty of USB ports, and lots of PCI-E expansion room. Only recognizes two of my RAM sticks at a time, they all function as single sticks, and all function in bank 1 and 3... but when in banks 2 and 4 none work. I'm cut down to 8GB rather of the 16GB I purchased. All sticks are the precise similar model. Incredibly disappointing. Don't believe I'll obtain once again.. -- Exceptional overall board layout (especially the SATA/PATA ports).-- Passive and successful northbridge cooling.-- The BIOS's manual overclocking options are plentiful and easy to use.-- Touch-sensitive on-board energy and reset buttons are extremely handy while constructing.-- Valuable status LEDs.-- Looks good. 1 fan plug and the 8-pin ATX energy plug reside in between the substantial 'DrMOS' heatsink and the rear I/O ports. For builds like mine with a bottom-mounted PSU, a huge CPU cooler and a significant video card, that location is less than ideal for cable management.Whilst my RAM's tRAS is adjustable with AMD's Overdrive software, I can only pick 'Auto' inside the BIOS. Looks like I may need to have to flash it.Don't bother with the automatic overclocking button/dial/tool. They're all rubbish and it's not complicated to find out how to do it manually. Pretty much everything actually, looks incredible, runs wonderful, etc. The first PCI-E x16 is too close to the memory to fit a graphics card. It would have been nice if it was switched with the 1.. I don't know if there are technical or performance factors they did that, but it makes each slots type of useless. Also newegg lists 5 PCI-E x16, and really there are 2, and again the initial cant really be utilized by the GPU. The rest are x8/x4 with a x16 snap-in. It does say it in parenthases in the specs. There are in all probability better options if you are making use of a CrossFire config since of the initially PCI-E problem, but for single GPU this is excellent. |

AMD 1090 t falls perfect into place and no BIOS update needed to recognize. I read the reviews, was concerned, see my other comments, but if you have the correct supporting hardware (i.e. power supply) i don't think you have any trouble. No FF codes, no complications. has and IDE connection for my older DVD burner. Has 6 SATA III connections for a lot of expansion. cool on board LED lights, manual was plenty useful for, to me, confusing front panel lights and switches hookups. the M-connectors are a nice feature. plenty of cables came with it, they changed the SATA cords to a beige color, no a lot more red. looks cool, works great, no troubles. always had luck with MSI mobo's, AMD processors, and ADATA RAM. there's plenty of room for expansion, and i havent even messed with overclocking yet, but understand its uncomplicated to do when im ready to do so. sort 890fxa-gd70 on Youtube and Google it. I did, i usually do my homework and read reviews before i obtain. spent weeks doing so. I am really happy. I have an Nvidia gtx 460, so wont be able to do Crossfire in the future if i want to. my power supply only has two 6pin PCI-E power connections as effectively. so if i want to do crossfire in the future, which im thinking i will do, i will have to acquire 2 RADEON Cards and a new power supply that can support powering 2 video cards. But not this mobo's fault, just saying. besides, with my 1090 t six core and my current vid card, im running 1920 x 1080 on my ASUS 23.5 in monitor with max settings on CODBO. and the processor begs for additional. ok, check your power supply just before buying. make positive you have 8pin cpu power connector. I got no FF code. Check your aftermarket CPU cooler, be positive there is room if you have RAM with giant heat spreaders. There wasn't a lot room in between the CPU cooler and G.Skill Heat spreaders, so im glad i went with ADATA. Have never ever had trouble with the MSI mobo, AMD processor, and ADATA RAM combo. Its all less expensive than INTEL, ASUS and Coursair or G.Skill, and works fine together. I don't know, by no means had any complications, and honestly was concerned with some of these reviews prior to i bought, but stuck with what has worked with me in the past, and this combo always has. here's my build:This mobo1090 t six core AMDZalman CPU coolerASUS 23.five in 1080p monitor8 gigs ADATA RAm ƒx4gbꊲ watt Coursair power supplyMSI 460 gtx 1gb video cardSATA III,64 mb cache, 640 gig Western Digital HDLite-On IDE DVD writerCooler Master Centerion Case |

Supports sata three and 16gigs of ram ྯ.five).lots of pci-e the overclock genie is a joke, I enabled it and had to reset my bios to get my pc to boot. It is not safely overclocking my amd 1100 x6 at all and that is why it fails to boot. I also attempted to use the touch sensitive buttons and the knob to overclock and that also causes catastrophic failures. I wouldn't recommend obtaining this. I would suggest to just do the math your self and monitor your temps and overclock on your own a little bit at a time to safely do it. its fairly? The 2nd memory slot was dead when it shipped. Putting memory into that slot causes the board not to post. Also the board would not post utilizing slots 3Ʋ, you have to populate slot 1 and then 2 if you want to use dual channel. Google this board and that quite dilemma is in the best 5 outcomes. I'm sure its fantastic when it works but when you take 赨 and give me a broken product you get 1 egg. BIOS alternativesStabilityNumber of slotspositioning of RAM and CPU making use of many PCI-e video devices requires certain placement of the cards in specific slots to attain the x16 rating for every single. Employing a lot more than two obviously forces x8 rating. Applied this board initial with a 965BE and had no issues. I later threw in a 1090T BE soon after a BIOS update, and I have no complications running it at four.0GHz with the 2600MHz HT |

This was right after I went by way of the BIOS trying to overclock the thing (first go about). Remedied by turning off and unplugging the personal computer, then removing the battery near the OC dial for a couple minutes, resets the cmos. If you program on a huge cooler like the Hyper 212 (recommended) be certain to get low profile ram sticks or prepare to lost access to one slot. By far the finest bang for ur buck, as if 5 pci-Express slots weren't enough they add little gadgets like phase LED's on-board OC dial and touch sensitive shut off and restart buttons and much more. Plus its future ready and eager for a taste of technology to come (-: Bios navigation is a small various than what I was utilized to in my Gigabyte 890GXE but ohh well not a massive deal and undoubtedly not a con amongst all the pros. I already got a friend of mine to get this board and he loves it as well. So hopefully some of you will read my review and decide to buy it (-: I just adore turning people today over to the DARK side of the force... Good and fast with a lot of excellent possibilities. If you're depending on a RAID to remain safe on this board, you'll be disappointed. I had 1 of my RAID drives fail which isn't MSI's fault, but there is no RAID rebuild utility accessible from MSI. MSI tech support's answer was "Sorry, we can't support you on this issue." Boards may possibly be good upfront, but don't forget to look at the longterm when you consider what brand to acquire.
