HDMI Sound in no way functioned effectively from analog minjacks.Location of RAM slots makes it tricky to install huge heatsinks required by modern day quad-core processors. Owned this unit for about three months now. Power LED would begin flashing if left overnight. Had to unplug power cord to get to turn back on. Now the motherboard will not turn on at all. Appears to be a power management or Northbridge problem. Heatsink on the Northbridge gets really hot even when laptop or computer is not on! Requesting RMA for this defective MOBO! You can use the onboard video for an further monitor devoid of the X-fire. four memory slots. Raid. X-fire help with a micro-atx. The onboard video is an outdated chipeset making the hybrid X-fire worthless with newer cards. Have not tried X-fire with two add-in cards or the RAID attributes however. My biggest complaints are occasional momentary freezes I get and somewhat unreliable sleep functions, neither of which I had with my Core Duo two.93 and Gigabyte motherboard. There is no substantial speed boost over my Core Duo 2.93 GHz CPU with this board and an AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition rated at 3.4 Ghz. Maybe if you do some hardcore overclocking it would rock but I choose stability and long life.

Sata 6, esata, USB 3, hdmi no 1394/Firewire port to connect my camcorder So why purchase this board if I needed firewire? Answer: got it as aspect of a CPU/MB combo sale at a effectively-known B&M store last year just before they eliminated these promotions. Essentially got this MB thrown in for the price tag of a Phenom II X4 955 CPU. The two operate properly with each other and made available a great stage up from my venerable Intel C2D E6400/Foxconn setup. Ten months later, this dual-boot XP/Win7 64 bit technique with GT-240 video card has been stable and plenty powerful for my photo, video editing and CAD needs.Oh yeah, and I occurred to have an old PCI Firewire card that tends to make up for the lack of 1394 on the MB itself. I'm a satisfied camper for certain!

Sata 6/Usb three- usually good to have for the future.Unlocking Technologies works properly, of program u can just do by way of biosQuite overclocking friendly even when you don't use OC Lite Genie or the Simple OC switchI utilized this for my initial develop and the only difficulty was that it decided to run my g-skill 1600 ram at 1333. I had created the mistake of operating the OC lite genie before i made confident that my ram was operating appropriately. All i had to do was turn off the OC Genie so that it returned all my speeds to regular. Set the FSB/DRAM Ratio to 1Ɉ and boom there i was with my 1600 Ram.Was straightforward to fix ram and nevertheless overclock CPU by means of it's multiplier, leave your frequency set to get perfect Ram ratio None that I can think of Basically, I feel if you're getting difficulty with this mobo, u truly need to do some analysis. Constructing a comp isn't specifically the simplest thing ever. Also, asking yourself if anybody has found a fantastic cooler that is low profile that won't block ram on this board? Bios is extremely simple to use, for a newbie it recognized every little thing.. 8 gigs ripjaws 7cl, athlon iix4 635 propus (soon to be a superior chip but is performing it's job effectively) getting cooled by a hyper 212+ in a rosewill challenger case, the ram was simple to configure in the bios and is operating rapidly no challenges! All round i am satisfied with this board it is giving me a likelihood to shop for a new gpu with the 4290 onboard which isnt "bad" with no obtaining to get a cheap vid card.Boots great and swift for me anyways :D into windows 7 with the WD Caviar Black 640GB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s three.5".. four pin cpu is kind of in a bad spot for my case and bottom mounted corsair 750hx power supply but thankfully the psu has a long cord..absolutely nothing to knock an egg for.. Haven't messed with the overclocking a lot yet, but with this board it seems it's going to be tough not to :) Quickly as i obtain a bit of know-how about it..

I rebuilt a (still functional) old Dell Dimension 4700 from the inside-out as a spending budget secondary system. Lost the front-side ports because of Dell proprietary connectors (but they had been so low on the case that I never utilised them anyway), but now I have a "D-4700" that boots Win 7 Pro 64 in 25 seconds (Lol - I just inform friends that I dust it and defrag each week), 6Gb SATA, USB three., and SSD. I even managed to keep the original PSU and unlock the 4th core on a Rana :)Ethernet and DVI ports function - haven't attempted the VGA or HDMI, or USB 3.'s however. None so far. Will have to see how tough the board is more than time.

on-board VGA is a nice touch. Neweggs RMA is fairly simple and straightforward. Both boards are apparently DOA. I got the very first board in a combo pack and it would not power on. Fantastic board, straightforward set up, turned on the initial time and is quite quickly. Running with a Phenom II x4 965 proc, 8gb GSkill RAM, and a lowly 9800 GT for now. Also recognized my Windows XP set up off the bat. WIndows 7 x64 loaded no difficulties. Did I mention it's very quick? I've had this board just over a month now, and I randomly get a method lockup about every day, from time to time a number of occasions a day. The machine is on, but video output goes, the energy button doesn't respond, nothing at all. There aren't any drivers to update also. This is also not symptomatic of a memory failure. The fact that the energy button doesn't respond tells me it's not the video card. PSU is 2 months old, I ran it no problems on my old board, and PSU problems trigger reboots, not lockups; 600W Thermaltake. Has to be the board. No overclocking at all has occurred. Will have to troubleshoot some additional.

This is an outstanding board for the income. Hexacore help, OCing headroom, SATA III, USB three., two PCI-E x8/x8 slots for multi-GPU setups, and four DDR3 DIMM slots makes for a great enthusiast board in a little package.I've been operating my board for months and it's in great operating situation still. It's been running my 1055t stable at three.four GHz below the stock cooler. fourƯ energy phase, but that's to be expected with a mATX motherboard. A thing to be noted is that even though this board supports 125W TDP CPUs, the fourƯ power phase severely limits the OCing headroom. This means with the Phenom II x6 (the only PIIs with a 125W TDP rating), you need to hold the VCore under 1.4V or else the MOSFETs will blow. It's a problem resulting from running also much current from overstressed, undercooled MOSFETs. This however is not a challenge with PII x2s and PII x4s. So extended as you watch your VCore, you need to be fine. I've been operating my x6 at 1.33V for months and have had completely no concerns.

Installed effortlessly and with out complications. Sturdy with all the functions I was searching for. Started up and ran just fine with AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition unlocked to four cores with minor issue in other thoughts. 4 Sata HDs and an older IDE all worked up fine Windows 7 installed devoid of a hitch all drivers on initially bootup except for USB3. Individuals installed from download without a dilemma.RAM worked with no a hitch G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 1333. The SATA port angle is a little complicated to work with. It's absolutely nothing significant and I was capable to get everything plugged in but not as simply as with a more standard layout for them. Also note that the Hybrid Crossfire does not function with greater end graphics cards in the ATI lineup 񢦊 for instance). If you want to use that function then make confident that your card will perform with it. The core unlocked initially seemed not to work. Both windows and the Bios showed a dual core for a full day after I employed it went by means of the procedure and used all the measures it stipulated. Then reset every little thing, shrugged and turned the core unlocker back on in the bios and known as it a night and went to bed. Subsequent morning it's unlocked to quad core on boot-up. Not sure what to make of that behavior.

Have had this board for 9months. No major complications.Onboard graphics good sufficient for older games and high def playback. Can't get updated bios to flash... was hoping to attempt the core unlocker... oh nicely. You're gonna want a discrete audio card if you care anything about excellent. I wouldn't recommend this board only because its going on a year due to the fact release and is still at the price I paid for it.Really its at 5 dollars far more than I paid but includes an offer you for a ten dollar rebate (at the time of this writing).I may well advocate it as a HTPC board if the value came down. All said, I will look at MSI when I upgrade in the next couple of years.

Anything but the lan lasted SO FAR! Nicely I constructed a Amd 970 ordered mobo on 10ትቦ lan went out about 33 days later, I had already ordered a different board to develop a 1090T, properly the lan went out on it right now. My board for the 1090t is becoming RMA'd by MSI now, I didn't bother RMA'ing this one I spent 40 bucks on a PCI Netword Card. Would not advocate this board to anybody. Client service is really quickly to respond, but I'm not tearing this a single apart to RMA it! Just don't order this board, apparently they have difficulties with the lan and they haven't fixed that difficulty yet. Maybe newer models will be greater. I will order a different brand for my subsequent 6 core build next month.
