I just got this card to upgrade my media pc to handle hardware video decoding, and playing the occasional game. It has made a new machine out of my 4 year old media box. I am completely satisfied with this card. I had no problems installing it, setting it up, or using it with XBMC or Minecraft under linux. It just worked. There are no graphical artifacts or extremely noticeable shearing in video or the UI.If you're looking for an inexpensive upgrade to an ageing machine, this is a very good bet. I got it with a $20 IR, but even without that IR I think I would have bought it. It wouldn't have been as easy of a sale, but in the end it is the best performing card for what I want to do in the sub $100 bracket. It should last me a long time. Even if I replace the cpu and motherboard, I will almost certainly use this card with the new build. |
Really love this GPU , This one a good choice for mild gaming , video editing , yes it has 2gb memory .This card has two fans , but it is very silent .This is my 3rd card from MSI . 1st one was a gtx 460 cyclone ,then a HD 6770 and now a gt 640 .I can run this guy without using separate pci power connector .
