MSI GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) N450GTS-M2D1GD5/OC Video Card
Cons:None
Pros:Price, Quality, and Size Comment:
Bought this card to pro-long the life of an aging machine. I had an 8800 GTS before. Upon install, I have been able to play games like CoD: Black Ops, Company of Heroes, and Bulletstorm at max detail with no lag. Honestly, this card is amazing bang for your buck. Definite budget card champion. The card is also smaller (length) than my old 8800 which is nice. MSI's packaging is very solid which inspires confidence. So does the 3 year warranty... |

MSI GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) N450GTS-M2D1GD5/OC Video Card
Cons:Not for huge gamers, but good at 1680x1050 and below resolutions on decent quality games.
Pros:Great value! Especially with the $40 MIRQuiet, cool, efficientOne of the highest performance per dollar cards out there Comment:
I've always owned nVidia cards and they have never let me down, this is a great card for it's money. Great for budget gamers with low graphical requirements and does not require a huge power supply. |

MSI GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) N450GTS-M2D1GD5/OC Video Card
Comment:
Fantastic card for casual gaming, watching videos and so on. A friend purchased one and immediately after seeing it in action I decided to get one for myself. The fan is a bit loud when it is under load, though it isn't a major deal. A small larger then I expected. Other then that, nothing Takes up a good quantity of space in a Micro ATX case. I was worried it wouldn't fit at initially, but it fit just fine. The fan and plastic on it covers up a PCI slot on the mobo, but it wasn't in use anyways so no massive deal. |

Comment:
Factory OverclockDecent Temps ㅘ idle to 64 load (after Overclocking past factory settings)Does a actually very good job for a lower end Dx11 CardIncredibly good price for the performance.Played Dirt two Demo at the incredibly highest settings available. I got more than 50 fps minimum. Nvidia stock settings give a minimum of 33 fps. This is an amazing card for the cost! Not the most stylish of Graphics Cards. When I bought the card it had a 850MHz core. I was able to overclock to 900MHz core. The Nvidia stock setting were at 783MHz. This card has a really good amount of head room for overclocking. Wonderful upgrade in performance from the hd 4670.Can't wait to test out much more games! |

MSI GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) N450GTS-M2D1GD5/OC Video Card
Cons:Not up to par to other video cards. The lowest of the midrange.MSI Rebate: I've heard a lot of bad things about it such as people not receiving it at all. $40 is hard to swallow if you don't get it.
Pros:Able to overclock further. I stopped at 900/1800/2000. This gave me approximately 15% extra performance over a reference GTS 450.But this baby is loaded with features. HDCP, Bitstreaming, excellent drivers, Physx, high quality parts. You can really stress this thing out. It's really tough. Comment:
You'll be able to max out or nearly max out a bunch of games at 1080p but you'll be playing at 30 FPS. Playing at 720p will improve FPS to 40-60.Got it for $60 after discount and rebate. I'm going to send the rebate in and see how long it will take to receive. As mentioned, I've heard a lot of bad things about MSI's rebates. Make sure you document everything and it's better to spend $10 to have it registered and signed off, that way you're guaranteed $30. After the rebate and discount the price is unbeatable especially considering price/performance. The rebate is a $40 AMEX Credit Card Gift Card. But if you don't get the rebate this isn't a hot deal. |

MSI GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) N450GTS-M2D1GD5/OC Video Card
Cons:Not too quiet.Plastic cover look and feel cheap.
Pros:Shorter than some other card. Comment:
This is my second MSI video card and I really like how they included plastic covers for ALL their ports and connections. Hmm, I just like details. Good card for a budget build. |

MSI GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) N450GTS-M2D1GD5/OC Video Card
Cons:
- Low performance as a Dedicated Renderer (I use two Radeon HD 6970s as my Graphics Renderer).- Fan can get especially loud. I switched it out for an Arctic Cooling L2 Pro.
Pros: - Low Price- Great Computational Performance as a Dedicated GPGPU around 600-700 GFLOPs.- Great fit as a Dedicated PhysX card Comment:
Very well priced card to be used as a GPGPU and/or Dedicated PhysX card but also a very good solution, though no Radeon HD 5770, for low resolution gaming (LAN Parties). |

MSI GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) N450GTS-M2D1GD5/OC Video Card
Cons:
A bit louder than the cyclone version but not noticeable
Pros: Stable, Performance is great, Low Price Comment:
I bought this to put in a M-atx build that I was doing for under $550 cdn. I put it with a amd 450 x3 and a budget asus board and it preforms great! Currently I have the top maximum setting Furmark score for the 450 series which I laugh to myself about. MSI's website is a bit confusing to find the drivers on so I recommend using the on disk drivers until you find the correct latest ones for you. I play Portal 1 on this card at a minimum of 70fps on highest settings, and it has played every game I've thrown at it just fine. One thing to not is that I play on a 15in. 1024x768 vga lcd monitor so you most likely wont get the same fps as me, but you'll know it's at least playable. |
got this to sli my other 450 great performance
