MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti OC 1059/1137MHZ 2GB 5.4GHZ GDDR5 HDMI DVI VGA PCI-E Video Card
Cons:none
Pros:Stylish, looks cool, quiet, doesn't take too much power for those pre-built PC's, easy to install and generally a good card for its price Comment:
I got this card thinking it would have some good potential and it did. For this low cost card it performs really well, as I can fully manage to run Skyrim maxed + Realvision ENB + W.A.T.E.R with almost no drops under 60 frames. I can also play new demanding games like battlefield 4 with 60 frames on high. The 750 TI is a great choice for people who have a pre-built computer and do not want to pay extra for a new PSU (GTX 760+600W or above PSU is pretty expensive) |
This is a niche card. If you're out buying a new system, this probably isn't the card for you. If you are in my situation, this card is perfect. My situation:I'm using an old hand-me-down HPmf8xxx or something like that. This means I have a core 2 duo (E2220), 4 gigs RAM, integrated video, and a beast of a 300W power supply (seriously they still make these?!)So I get another 4 gigs RAM to max out the motherboard and upgrade the processor to a C2Quad 9450. Found those on craigslist for about $60.Now I needed a videocard that would actually run on my 300W power supply that has no free 6-pin connectors (or any for that matter). Yes there are some cheapo ones but I wanted something that could actually run some sort of games.Thank you NVIDIA for making this card! No 6-pin required and runs stable on my meager power supply. I ran it at 100% load for 24 hours and it was still a stable 60C.I know I'll never run Metro at full settings, but what I can do is run both skyrim and titan fall at above medium settings at 1080. This isn't bad at all for a 5+ yr old system.Another plus is that this efficient card can actually do some bitcoin/litecoin mining as well. I ran it for 24 hours using the latest CUDAminer and averaged 270kh/s. On a 300W power supply. It really doesn't get any better for someone with limited funds.TL;DR - Turned a 5-yr old system into something that can run titan fall and can mine crypto currency quite well.
