for your consideration
Comment:
This is in response to any negative reviews. This board is cheap and performs well. I've had no problems with it whatsoever so don't base your buying decision on someone who either got unlucky or messed up the board on their own. Also, people fail to realize that a lot of items are damaged in the shipping process. I have a friend that works at UPS and he told me that some of the boxes get dropped from heights of over 6 feet. This all taken into consideration, this IS a good board and you should base your decision on actual hardware reviews and not angry customers. |

MSI P55-GD65 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:not as solid as asus
Pros:price is great for a mid range 1156 board Comment:
I have to admit the price and build for this mb are fine. I prefer Asus boards because i've had such good experiences with them in the past. I think the hardware is not as good quality. I have another setup but it's with an i7 920 and the features are better. Of course this is because it's a 1366 board and not your mid range 1156 board. I think its a great value and would like to have been able to compare it to an Asus p55 board. Good reviews from other sites made me choose this board...besides the really low price. |

Excellent board.
Comment:
While the price is a tad steeper than I wanted to spend, this board is totally solid, supports just abouy any memory you throw at it, it runs stable, as a decent BIOS interface, and has nice little auto-overclocking buttons. All in all, a fantastic MoBo. (Had it a couple months now, all's well.) |

Great product and features!
Comment:
I used this mobo for my first ever computer build, and it works great. It has alot of features for overclocking beginers like me. The bios is super easy to use and the OC genie is fun to play with too. |

MSI P55-GD65 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:A few unneeded gimicky additions
Pros:It does what it's supposed toCurrently best "bang for buck" P55 boardGood (not great) board for overclocking Comment:
A nice board with too many gimicks. Have a i5-750 3.95Ghz P95 stable 4+ hours. Can go to 4.1, but volts get too high for my liking. What with MSI and Intel trying to do the overclock for you, neither hits the mark. Turn off all the BIOS gimicks, such as APS, turbo boost, etc. Set voltages manually (board will rise/lower voltages if on auto, not always stable) Vcore no higher then 1.55, Vtt no higher then 1.21 memory no higher then 1.65. Leave Vdroop on (prevents over volting when CPU come off a full load)Then test, and test again. the only way to OC. :) This review was modfied by poster l 12-03-09 04:28 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 12-03-09 04:09 PM |

MSI P55-GD65 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:Overclocking function does not work properly. Part of the software package seems to be incompatible with Windows 7.
Pros:Good value if we consider the Sli/Crossfire compatibility. Comment:
I bought this card mostly for it's simplified overclocking feature (OC Genie). With the i5 750, a Noctua fan and a good memory, it should have been to good combo for overclocking. It simply does not work properly on my computer. Lots of apps crash when this option is turned on. A pity when it's said "OC Genie" finds the proper parameters for a safe overclocking. On the software side, even with "OC genie function turned on", the MSi setup software asks to turn "OC Genie" on. Weird. And MSi Control Center, when launched, produces a continuous sound (sounds like an alarm) but with no visual explanation at all about any issue encountered. Not to mention the crashes of the PC before Windows launches (frequent reboots when trying to access the bios).I would definitely not recommend this motherboard. |

Save your money for a better board
Comment:
Where to begin, uh, it looks good but it has some issues, namely it has a problem with powering on the fans, it is quirky, constantly restarts for no reason and it is just not worth the dough and mental stress. This was my first MSI mobo and it could be my last if this is the quality that is being sold. Be careful with this board! |

MSI P55-GD65 ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:No Triple Channel Support
Pros:Price, Features, Looks Comment:
This is a great board. I bought it as part of a build for a friend... put an i750 and 4GB of GSkill Ripjaw for an awesome combo. You can't touch this board for the price... and with both Crossfire and SLI support, it's a winner. If it had Triple Channel support it would have garnered 5 stars. Highly recommended! |

Good Board
Comment:
For such a low price, great motherboard. The 4x PCI-E doesn't have a slot on the end, so you could in theory put a 3rd GPU there. There is a spot for a TPM chip, to enable full HD encryption with bitlocker. The Audio Chip is Realtek ALC889 / ALC888S V2 (Not sure if it has DDL encoding yet, though I assume it does). |
its been working well for the first week. but all of a sudden my computer is starting to blue screen. i still havent found a solution to this... i would contact their support but i dont want to take 30 minutes filling out information.
