A Flawless Upgrade
Comment:
I purchased this barebones kit in December as an upgrade for an office mate. I have installed dozens of systems and this was the easiest upgrade I have completed. Loved the twist locks to secure drives. A great idea! I did not use CPU cooler but purchased a copper core cooler in place of the stock cooler that came with the system. It runs at 22 degrees at idle and about 38 when working. It also overclocks as well. It is also a very quiet machine. |

Great budget system for all uses

This thing is great, No complications right out of the box. Lets see where to start. first if has an MSI motherboard, that is great. Second is the MSi motherboard drivers. They were easy to install and work great. Next is the tower, NVidia and it is green, My favorite color. The powersupply, is 650watts. Enough to run anything you can think of. The features also set it apart from other Barbones kits, SLI for an example. At this price most kits dont have this feature. Now the only other things that you want to think about, It has no onboard video. this wasnt a problem for me as I wanted to put in a geforce card anyway. Also when you build it make sure you use a quality thermal paste for you CPU. I had overheating issues right away. though it was fixed with some thermal paste. That is about, I recommend this kit, buy it and you wont be sorry. |

Good Case and Power Supply ... Bad Mobo
Comment:
Bought the first time no good. Exchanged for a second time same problem. Both times the system will not POST. In the second system (I assume the same on this first) the PCI Express slot did not have a good contact with the video card. Discarded the original Mobo and got me another motherboard. Beware of the loose PCIe slot. |

Way to easy!
Comment:
Well I finally built my first pc and it seemed way to easy with this case. Great feature is the toolless assembly. Since the MB and PS were already in all i had to basically had to plug in processor, ram drive, hd, vc, and i was done. Literally 45 mins including windows vista business 64 bit install. Added a diffrent rear 120mm fan and now im moving air like crazy. NO TOOLS at all. Biggest problem I had was with wireless adapter, but that didnt come with case. I totally recomend this case, its nice and sturdy and looks cool with the lights off while you game. |

Nice equipment, but not linux compatible
Comment:
My wife just got a new computer... since it won't work for me! Case is nice and the hardware seems stable running Windows XP. It installed and ran fine for the wife. But linux users beware, the chipset, audio, and video bits currently have issues on linux (a deal breaker for me). The system would freeze up when playing video. I discovered this after about 20 minutes and couldn't resolve it. I also found a host of other issues on the web about the NVIDIA chipset and decided I made a mistake. This marks the first time I ever had more problems on linux than on windows, leaving a bad taste in my mouth about the NVidia chipset. That is why the low rank in the features, quality, performance dept. Besides, NVidia appears to be pulling out of the chipset market according to some news reports. But if you are running windows? it seemed to work fine for the wife and is a good value for that use. |

Good for the price

There are some good features to this case and looks very nice. I'm not a big fan of the breakaway PCI and the drive bay covers. And this motherboard has an issue installing windows with more that 2 gigs of ram. But after a bit of trouble shooting it works flawlessly easy 20 min install of all the parts. |

Didnt get the right motherboard.

I got the MSI SLI instead of the SLI-FI which has 3 pci-e x16 slots. the SLI has 2. PC works fine tho. No probs |

Great Product for the Money
Comment:
Case looks great.... Every thing works perfect. I was able to put a CPU, CD, Video Card, Ram, and Hard Drive in less than 30 minutes. Case was easy to work with and is a very good deal for the money. Lots of room in the case to expand. Easy to move around. Plenty of room. |
I had an old box that finally died. Ordered this system, DVD burner, 4GB RAM, and a new CPU. Took the 2 drives and video card from the old box and had everything running in under an hour. Fast, quiet machine with no issues, other than the stock cooler. What a piece of junk! Forgot to put an aftermarket cooler in my cart when I got this machine, so I went and got a 30 dollar kit with copper pipes and good fan. The CPU is at 25C, instead of the 45-60C with the stock fan. The case is lightweight, but the 2 fans are nice and overall, good bang for the buck.
