MadCatz Cyborg M.M.O. 7 LED 6400 DPI USB Dual Action Laser Gaming Mouse PC/MAC Compatible
Cons:-does not come with plastic accessories box like the rat series-learning curve takes a bit to git used to-would like to see more led light custom-ability -the all black version seems to ascetically better (purely preference)
Pros:-many many macros and shortcut possibilities-solid design, quality mice-great price when on sale-adjustable for many hand sizes Comment:
This is a great mouse, many possibilities for macros and win shortcuts and it looks great. A bit of a learning curve and certainly has to be broken in for optimum use. Would have loved it if it came with an accessories box like the rat series, just to hold your unused weights and pieces. At 129 plus 100 ncix points, i would certainly recommend this mouse. |

MadCatz Cyborg M.M.O. 7 LED 6400 DPI USB Dual Action Laser Gaming Mouse PC/MAC Compatible
Cons:Absolutely horrible battery life.
Pros:This is definitely a great mouse. Comment:
Precision cursor control on more surfaces, including glass where other mice fail The sculpted design cradles your hand for more comfort and less fatigue, even during marathon mouse sessions. And every control is intelligently positioned right at your fingertips, so you're in total control of every click, scroll, cut, paste and zoom. |

MadCatz Cyborg M.M.O. 7 LED 6400 DPI USB Dual Action Laser Gaming Mouse PC/MAC Compatible
Cons:1. dies when play game2. single direction dpi switch button
Pros:1. looks great2. practical programmable buttons3. exchangeable parts Comment:
despite nagtive reviews for this mouse, I bought this mouse base on my great experience with r.a.t.5. Even with sale price it is still double or triple the $ for a decent gaming mice. my first mmo7 is defective. Scroll wheel stuck frequently, due to not even surface of the rubber around the wheel. This is not OK on a percision device like mouse. Thanks for ncix to replace it with another one which is working as expected. the action button not very useful, not sure why people want left or rt button pressed whole time. Other programmable button are useful. And they scatter around mouse, easy to locate. 5d button not easy to use without pressing other buttions to put strength on it. Can't figure out what the little button above pinky rest does.If you have other R.A.T mice, uninstall the driver was not clean for me, had to go device manager to manually unintall programmable simulater. mmo7 works ok in FPS. In action game like 'sleeping dog'. After a few mins play by click and click, mmo7 simply died. All lights on mice went off, all button cease working. Had to unplug and plugin back.In all, mmo7 is mix bag for me. The scroll wheel issue never happened even on my cheaptest mouse. Maybe it's just unlucky of me. Except that, it looks great, does its job most of time. By a price tag over $130, you certainly expect more. |

MadCatz Cyborg M.M.O. 7 LED 6400 DPI USB Dual Action Laser Gaming Mouse PC/MAC Compatible
Cons:minor, but enough..
Pros:Looks fancy, solid build, lots of 'features'. Comment:
My first thought was how cool looking this mouse is.. I have had and used a lot of more conventional 'style' of mice over the years and I guess it's what I'm used too cause no matter how much tweaking and adjusting I do I can't get this mouse comfortable in my hand. No part of my small hands finds this mouse easy to use, the buttons in a convenient place. Nadda.. I suspect maybe I just needed to get used to the difference, but from day 1 this mouse has also had a tendency to 'freeze' the pointer will stop or things in a game will stop moving, but all the buttons and macro's will keep working, it will simply stop sending movement info. The more the mouse is used the more it does this to the point I have had to abandon it for day to day mousing or games since it WILL freeze in a game, at least once if not more. Unplugging and pluggin the USB cord back in fixes this problem but so far I have no been able to convince people to stop shooting at me while I do this. It also means having to keep it plugged into a front port rather than a back port because of the need to do a quick unplug and plug. I never got the explore all the custom options. I like the 'click lock' for the main buttons, but the button to turn this on is also in a bad place for my hand, I hit the lock button more than I hit the actual mouse button, the only solution for me is to keep my first 2 fingers spread as wide as my hand will allow to keep them off those buttons... This does making playing for longer than 20 mins uncomfortable. The 'sniper' button was the one feature I used most (WWIIOL and ARMA-holic here) and the one feature I look for in a replacement. In the end I'm RMAing (I opened a support ticket with Madcatz but haven't heard a peep yet) and if they'll let me I'll pick up Corsair mouse and maybe a gaming KB too.. I've been a Corsair or Logitech fanboy for some years and I think I'll return to the brands that have treated me so well in the past.My 2 cents.P.S. As I typed this review the flippin thing froze again.. |
This mouse is great and I have yet not regretted buying it. The buttons on this mouse are very well placed in comfortable positions that make them easy to use and can be very useful! These buttons can be programmed for just about anything! And you can make multiple profiles and modes to quickly switch between presets that you made. For example just for browsing etc.. I set the thumb scroller to act as volume control while the rest of the thumb buttons can be used for manipulating music and tracks or browser shortcuts.
