Nice enclosure, great price, looks good & works great. One USB port powers it. LED on front lights green for power and turns red when drive is being accessed. If you're looking for a low cost good 2.5'' enclosure this is it.

This is easily the easiest enclosure to use. You insert a drive, screw in the screws (comes with a driver eve) and plug it in. BOOM you are working. I have a 120gb drive in it with movies for when I travel. Now I carry two of these with me and have tons of storage when on the move. Durable, cools the drive (as if it even gets hot) and reliable. I cut the cable so it is straight through and it fits in your shirt pocket.

Cheap and very easy to use. I did not have a problem inserting the very small screws. However, the screws are soft and the screw head is easy to strip. I like the little screw driver that came with this case. Nice touch. I installed an old Toshiba 2.5in drive and then connected the drive to my WinXP computer. It was recognized immediately with issue or problem. This product works. Isn't that what you want ?

Wonderful enclosure, especially at the low price. Looks great, and works even better. I only have to use one USB port in my laptop if anyone was wondering, and I am using a 60Gb 5400 rpm Toshiba hard drive. It was plug-n-play with no drivers needed for Windows XP/2000. Note: Be sure to push the IDE pins ALL the way into the front holes where it attaches, even if it is very tight. The screws aren't that hard to put in.

A good enclosure. Worth the money. However a manual is required that explains that the soft strip is meant to be stuck to the hard disk.

Great Product, Somewhat frustrating to assemble due to the very small and poorly made screws that strip easily, but you get two extras in the package which is a plus. After assembly, the product feels extremely sturdy for the price, does not rattle or vibrate. The status light, though exposed to damage because it is not covered, is useful. The protective sleeve that is included is also a plus.

Great enclosure! Mine worked so well, I purchased one fore everybody I work with. The only problem I ran into was fitting the drive in the case. There is a bumper in the back so I took it out. Of course, I found out that I needed it. After I removed it the drive was a little loose and would separate form the connection. I replaced the bumper and the drive has not failed once. The screws are small, so I lost one immediately. Not to fret, there is spares in the box.

Only accepts NEW style hard drives. I have a IBM Thinkpad A21P and replaced the hard drive and wanted to use the old one with this enclosure. Problem is, The old style hard drives (2 1/2 inch mobile) are to fat for this case. So if you are going to use this with an old H.D. check the drive. If it is twice the size of the header, It wont fit. But for the price, I will keep it and use it later somehow. I did use it to format the new hard drive and it worked well... Comes with a USB cable with a Y splitter.

OMG GREAT & SLICK ENCLOSER!!! JUST GOT IT Ordered it Sunday! Slick case! Only problem I had was the screws were a bit tought to put in. Don't mind thm sticking out a bit. The leather-like case covers them! Now only if I can find another HDD at a great price I'll get another one. JOY!!! =)

This is a great little drive encloser. It was easy to install the hard drive and transfer projects to and from work. Only one little problem is that you can not use the older IBM laptop drives from Compaq units. The case is only .429'' high & the IBM drive is .490''. It's just to tight to get the dirve in. Works great with the Toshiba drives.

GREAT PRODUCT & Even better at the price! I had an old 12 GB 2.5'' HD that was collecting dust & running out of space on current laptop HD. I really despised the older external chassis w/ bulky 'keyboard wedge' to power the enclosure... this is GREAT, powered by USB & very small, so easy to travel with. I Highly Recommend this product if you're in the market for a no-frills functional enclosure at any price (and this is only $9)!

I was very surprised. For the price this is extremely slick little thing. Perfect for people who are given junk systems. I had an old Dell with a 20gig HD, I pulled it out, popped it in this, and it runs like a champ! Only downside is that the cord that comes with it is pretty dag short, but that's not a big deal. This is awesome.

I have been very impressed with hiw easy this was. all I did was open it up, put my drive from an older, broken laptop in it. Then put the screws in (which are tiny, but not that difficult), plug it into my USB, and windows saw it imediately. I couldnt ask for it to go any easier. I havent even opened the driver disk or looked for one online. Windows XP saw it as another Hard drive and off you go. GREAT DEAL. simple and effective.

Cheap but effective, has an LED light to tell if your computer is reading the drive. Includes a USB cable where you can network two portable drive enclosures to your computer. Only bad thing is that the screws that hold the drive together are very small and sometimes hard to screw in.
