Maximo IM-390 Imetal Isolation Earphones 18-22000HZ 2FT
Cons:
Sound cut out on one side, twice in a rowMade my ears more sore than other earbuds
Pros: Pretty good soundShiny Comment:
Got these headphones because the brand has a good reputation and they were on sale. they look nice and the sound is noticeably better than the cheaper ones I've had. However, the sound cut out in one ear after less than a month of use. RMA'd it with Maximo (they do have a lifetime warranty and the service was good) and now the second pair has the same problem after less than a month. I might just be unlucky, but I wouldn't buy this set again. |

Maximo IM-390 Imetal Isolation Earphones 18-22000HZ 2FT
Cons:Unit came defective. At first I thought it was a burn in related issue but clearly it only got worse. The right earbud stopped working completely at day 9. When you put the rubber buds in your ear the sound volume reduced by around 60% until you pulled them out which isn't what "Isolation Earphones" are about.
Pros:Nice and spiffy lookingSound quality decent when it workedCame with an extension cord, and nice carrying case Comment:
I suppose this is a down grade from the skull candy ear buds I previously had as the low frequency bass response was lacking. It seems like from other reviews this DOA units are a common problem so it appears that Maximo has serious QA issues that need to be addressed. |

Maximo IM-390 Imetal Isolation Earphones 18-22000HZ 2FT
Cons:- Does not compare to higher-end gear like my Etymotic ER6- I think my Creative EP-630s sounded better- Potentially flimsy quality, as I've had to RMA this after a few weeks of usage
Pros:- Good sound quality for a $20 price tag- Adequate noise-cancellation- Base has a certain oomph, if you're into that kind of thing- A lot of accessories, like a really practical pouch, extension cord, 2.5mm adaptor, and 2-head airplane adaptor- Maximo has pretty good customer support Comment:
I got this as a present for someone with a knack for ruining MP3 players and headphones. Its paired with a Phillips GoGear 2GB player, and it performed decently, as would've been expected at the price range. But one of the sides stopped working after a few weeks, so I'm in the process of RMAing it. No idea if it was the user's fault or faulty designing, so I can't really fault the headphones for it, but it does leave a bit of a smear on first impressions.Anyways, 3/5 stars because the person I gifted it to really liked it while it was working, but questions the quality because of the aforementioned problem. |
