I used this housing for an old drive that came out of my laptop. (I upgraded my laptop with an SSD) It has worked flawlessly since that time. Installation couldn't be easier. Works extremely well. Excellent value for the price. |

Overall I'm very impressed with this enclosure. I like the USB connector and how it gets power via two USB ports, so you don't really need an electrical outlet to use it. Therein is it's weakness - it requires two USB ports to function. |

Cons:One of the clips on the frontplate doesn't really work, frontplate comes off very easily.

Nothing special here, but for the price I'm quite pleased. On sale, this is a very competative product. Only problem is that the frontplate on the unit I have falls off very easily. Probably just a defect but its not worth an RMA. |

I used to buy cheap 2.5" sata enclosure from ebay for $3-5. They somehow work but usually are unstable. This enclosre is an big upgrade and I will never look back. Buy it on sale. |
I upgrade my laptop hd to ssd and purchased this case for my old hd. Really like the build quality of this case, sturdy, and compact especially at this price range. Only downside is that the transfer speed is slow but it's used as storage device so i'm ok with it
