A nice little case at a nice price!It works perfectly, and I have a motherboard with a picky controller running Linux - not all USB 3.0 devices work. This one does - I benchmarked an old 120 GB Hitachi at 38.7 MB/s average, with 49 MB/s peak - that's marginally faster than the old SATA I interface it was originally on in a MacBook and definitely faster than USB 2.0.It looks very nice, with a fingerprint-proof matte finish metal case which also conducts heat well. It even comes with a genuine leather pouch - don't know when I'll use that, but it's there. The ends are plastic and match the stripe on the metal. There's a green light when the drive is attached and has power which turns orange when the drive is being accessed.The drive is bus-powered. No external power adapter is needed or provided. Of course this is common to all 2.5" drives but it's nice all the same.I've deducted a star because the drive is somewhat flimsy. The interface board is held in the back by screws that don't meet full sockets in the case - instead they fit in C-shaped channels that don't contact the screw all the way around. This means taking the screws out and (in particular) putting them back in may strip them - they're very prone to cross-threading and very easy to strip. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get them out and in again...Overall though, it's a nice enclosure. |

This is the second enclosure that I bought, for 750GB 2.5" hard drive for storing downloaded movies, as my laptop uses a 120 GB SSD. This enclosure has a really nice design and has good performance with USB3 interface. One of the best-highly recommended.Price is reasonable even if this product is not on sale.I got it last time gor 20$. |

Cons:2 screws below the drive doesn't fix correctly because one hole isn't the same distance so doesn't fit and only one screw can be fixed but is enough to get the device fixed

This is a nice little mobile drive enclosure that does exactly what it's supposed to. Good build quality, easy to install, and has no problem maxing out a 5400rpm drive via USB 3.0 interface.
