I have used this mouse foe three years with no problems untill reacently when I started more gameing, then the left clicker went out after 6 mounts under heavy use. The features are great. Forward and back buttons fantastic. I cant live without them. The smooth scroll wheel has been no problem for me. I liked this mouse so much that I ordered two more that I recieved three weeks ago. I hooked one up to my wife's computer and it works swell, the other on my computer. Mine only worked one day then the wheel button gave out. I am sending that one back and will not buy this one again. A better mouse with all the same features and more, is the Logitech MX518 for only about $6 more. Dont forget to program the wheel of either mouse to fast scroll or to what ever else you want it to do. I will come back here if my wife's mouse gives out but it is working fine at the moment. I think they may have cheapened the parts of this Exployer, too bad.

Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer - PS/2 and USB
Comment:
This is a very comfortable mouse that works very well (for a little while anyway) with most Windows applications. The tilt wheel / lateral scroll is a nice feature, but doesn't work with many applications. The extra browsing (back & forward) buttons are very useful. If you play any games, play poker online, or do anything that requires incremental scrolling, DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE. The scroll wheel does not click. The smooth scroll hesitates and then flies right by whatever increment intended. Absolutely useless for anything other than IE or Office apps. Also, after about a year of use, the left-click button is starting to fail. It still works, but needs a lot of pressure -- and if i press too hard, i get a double-click accidentally. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot the obnoxious light in the back. It will light up your room at night if you don't cover it up (I removed the red logo and replaced it with a piece of black plastic). If you use it in an office, it's still blinding.
