Microsoft Lifecam NX-3000 Webcam USB OEM
Cons:
This thing crashes my XP machine everytime I plug it in. I have to have my computer off, then plug it in before turning my machine on or else Windows suffers a fatal error and auto-reboots. The picture quality is not the best. I have a cheep webcam from Walmart, one of those $10 deals, and the picture quality is about the same, though this one is slightly better. this is definitely NOT HD!I would give this thing ONE STAR if I could, but because i don't have an order ID number on my receipt I got form the Aberdeen Centre store.I recommend HIGHLY against buying this.
Pros: Decent mic, decent in poor light |

Microsoft Lifecam NX-3000 Webcam USB OEM
Cons:
Short USB cord, but this is a laptop cam, so I understand.
Pros: Small compact design.Attractive housing.Good quality image, measured at 2 feet and ~15 feet away. Comment:
I bought this camera for use as a security cam. I had reservations about the focus quality at distance but am relieved to report that after several tests this camera provides good quality image at proper focus at all reasonable distances. I have not tested the Mic because I don't plan on using it, but it say 'noise cancelling mic' right on the front. You really can't go wrong with M$ branded hardware if you use Windows. Installation was a breeze and the drivers loaded automatically on my Win7x64Ult. |
Unreliable. Crashes the computer. Not HD. Average quality. Not worth $40. I will never buy another Microsoft webcam based on this one's performance.
