Microsoft Office 365 University 4YR Subscription Medialess English - Higher Education Proof Required
Cons:IMAP folders management is weird on Outlook 2013
Pros:The power of office as you know it, ridiculous price, Office on Demand, Skype world minutes, Skydrive Comment:
(click read more) This is perhaps the best thing that ever happened to Office ever. This new licensing system based on subscription is brilliant. While people may think that this is a bad idea, let me assure you, it is not. Price-wise, you can't beat that. You get almost ALL programs from the professional edition with a price that beats ANYTHING out there (especially for us students). Also, you get 60 world minutes of Skype monthly and 20 GB of extra storage on skydrive. While it is really convenient to use Skydrive for storing your documents, you are NOT obliged to do so. Just because this thing is subscription based DOES NOT mean you need to rely on internet ALL THE TIME. This is just like the good old Office, just branded 365 with some nice perks (multiple installs, too !).Another thing worth mentioning is the new Office on Demand. This thing works just AS GOOD AS it is advertised. I managed to use it almost anywhere ("almost", I'm still figuring out why it did not run in a particular situation) and I have no longer that need to adapt my documents for the installed version of Office while not on my computer. The program (yes a program, not just a web version) is streamed directly into the computer and you do not need administrator privileges. What you get is the real deal with ALL possible features. You just need a fast enough connection (just like 10 Mbps) to keep the program from freezing (since it launches before all the required files are downloaded). All in all, this is a GREAT investment for all students and families who need Office with their work. Professionals too, although I do not know enough in this field...For those seeking the University edition and are afraid that their school is not accepted as valid, you can try registering in Dreamspark. If you are granted access, then installing this University version is REALLY simple (verifying your MS account is required only ONCE).HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! |
It was very simple. Go to the website and follow instructions, they confirm you are a University student by simply sending an email to the email given to you by your school.
