Hands down the best!
Comment:
I have to say you can't beat this mouse for the price. I bought this about a year or so ago for either 60 or 70 dollars. It still works like I just bought it. It may lack a couple programmable buttons but the two on the side is all I need. I use one for vent and the other for ts for whenever I'm multitasking. The dpi buttons are very useful if you change your dpi for different load outs. For 50 dollars you won't find a better mouse.

Good, but not great
Comment:
When I first got it, it took some getting used to, but I adjusted. The adjustable DPI was great for gaming. Couldn't stress that enough. However, after about 3 months of moderate use, the right mouse button just ceased to work, so now it is rendered useless. This is, to say the least, very upsetting. Granted, im sure that this isn't common, however the fact that I was the recipient of the break-down just really upsets me.

Compared to my Logitech g9x
Comment:
I'm pretty new to the gaming world and had never bought a mouse so I wanted to compare a few. I bought this one and the Logitech G9X. For half the price of the G9X I found that this unit works great. The DPI adjustment takes some getting used to but it's brilliant that you can have your snipe set to one and your regular to another. Compared to some where you have to click 3 or 4 times to go from slow to fast this one is one click. As others have said feels a little cheap, but in game I found this mouse just as good as the G9X with a much better price tag. I returned the other one.

Good buy for Vista or prior
Comment:
I bought this mouse to use on my new gamng laptop. It has a 64 Windows 7 OS... The intellipoint software that came with the mouse, is blocked due to known compatibilty issues. Asside form that, this mouse is amazing. I especially like the one touch mouse sensitvity buttons on the top.

A little big...
Comment:
It feels a little big, as mentioned by another reviewer as a positive, this can also be a negative, took a few days to get used to the large size, but after that, it feels great. The only thing I notice(and it's probably a PC issue, not a mouse issue) is sometimes my DPI will randomly shoot up to max for 2-3 seconds. But other then the large size, I love everything about it.

very nice
Comment:
works perfectly, great fit for my large mitts. on the fly dpi is a little uncomfortable for quick use. note that its a very light mouse for its size, which is how i like it, but definitely lighter then the logitech gaming mice i'm used to

Good step up from optical
Comment:
This mouse will not change your life. If you believe that any mouse will, you are ignorant. This is a good mouse that works when you plug it in and reads better than an optical. If you are still using a ball mouse, throw your computer into the bath tub.

Good but could be better
Comment:
This is a great mouse without a doubt, however, it does have its faults. The DPI buttons are in a poor spot for 'on the fly' changes. The "Quick Launch" button only launches the game manager and cant be changed. The side buttons are nice and easy to access. The mouse feels good in my hand and was easy to get accustomed too.

Microsoft SideWinder X5 Mouse - USB, 2000 DPI, 5 Programmable Buttons
Comment:
I bought this mouse about 2 months ago at Frys, and its a pretty decent mouse. It has nice DPI on the fly buttons that you can set in the mouse drivers. the mouse is a 2000 dpi mouse which is more than i need; but the bad is that it feels like its not made with that great of quality and the clicking feels kind of odd for a while; Personally id go with the Razer Deathadder, and i plan to get the Deathadder or a differnt Razer mouse in the future.

Microsoft SideWinder X5 Mouse - USB, 2000 DPI, 5 Programmable Buttons
Comment:
Very Nice gaming . light weight and not too small for average size male hands. Only dis like was the fact that the DPI buttons and the quick launch button are no programmable. Quick launch button can assign an .exe only. The only thing I would like is for the 3 DPI buttons to become programmable for use with Macro's and such.
