Stable OS that MS finally got right.

It's Windows 7. What can be said. It's stable, looks good, installs easily and works out of the box.

Not my first copy and probably not my last. I doubt I'll be 'upgrading' windows 8, so likely I'll be using this fine product for the next 3 or so years. Unfortunately Microsofts most tradition of gouging their users wallet is as alive as it has ever been. I also fail to see any reason for most consumers to consider any edition besides this.

Got the Professional version extremely cheap through my university ($45 with the DVD) and it was totally worth it. The Premium version came with my laptop. Microsoft still has lots to improve on, but at least they took a step in the right direction this time.

I used this in my friends computer that i built for him, he says he loves windows 7 over his old windows vista. Says it feels more smooth, snappy, speedy etc.

I upgraded from vista 32 bit. And I can say Microsoft did a good job with this one. Its what Vista should have been.Overall a great OS.

For $99.99 on sale this is a good buy and I'm glad that NCIX sells the OEM version for us pc builders. I quite like windows 7 after having moved from windows xp to it a few years ago. I skipped vista... and from what I've read, it was a good choice. This is a great operating system and if you want to do any gaming, you are pretty much tied to windows anyway.

Easy to install and use 64bit gives you access to all your RAM love that 1 click burn option blows away Vista or XP!

A full $80 more than what Microsoft charges Dell, but what can you do? It's certainly not NCIX's fault that Microsoft likes to stick it to the little guy. It pays the Windows Tax.

Though their aren't many options out there, this version of windows is a vast improvement over vista. Those who owned vista and are wary of getting this product, don't be! They are like night and day.

Been way better then previous windows O/S I had to upgrade to from xp to vista on a Acer computer because I could not find my disk and the hdd died which I lost the operating system. Other then that I've been happy

Have been running windows 7 on my laptop for a year and a bit now so it was a no brainer to get it for my custom build. Love the operating system and I think that it is a huge improvement from vista. I would highly suggest this OC to anyone and couldnt be happier with it.

In all seriousness, if you are looking for what version of windows to purchase this is it. It is a very good price considering what you might pay at other computer stores. There is very little need for any higher versions and a very nice upgrade from XP.

if your going to play any recent games you need it. xp can't play a lot of new games and Vista is horrible. Home premium is good for most computer builds unless your using more than 16gb ram or you want to run windows in 'xp mode'

Got this operating system for free from a university program called MSDNAA. Gave me the opportunity to go from XP to 7. It definitively does the job. It was a needed product to go from XP since Vista was full of interface problems.

- coming from vista to windows 7 this is a god sent, for home use and on the road use (laptop) this delvers a great overall platform for what ever you want to do

Price is still high but you'll get the benefit of Windows updates and knowing you bought genuine windows and not being a pirate!16 MB RAM max though.

I'm quite happy with Windows 7. This is what Vista should have been. Looking forward to Windows 8 though... Anyhow, I've bought one of these OEM 64 bit versions for just about every PC that I've put together.

Well, it's this or a Linux distro for PC, if you want to play most games you want this. I think everyone pretty much knows what it is by now. First Windows version that I didn't mind paying for.

I was very reluctant to upgrade from XP to Win7. But with my last build, I couldn't find XP actually for sale anymore, so... I figured I'd give it a shot. I wasn't very happy at first, but after about 4 months I've gotten used to it. I now like Win7 more than I do XP. I was concerned about the performance hit from the fancy new interface, but it's not really much on any modern PC. I've even learned to accept the new look.If you've been hesitant to switch like I was, don't be. You'll get used to it.

What can you say it's an OS, you either get this or go Linux for a PC build. Compared to Microsoft's other OS I would have to say this is their 2nd best after XP.
