Big Difference Between 32 and 64
Comment:
I have both Win 7 Pro (32 bit) and Win 7 Home Premium (64 bit). Both installed easily; did not even have to format the hard drives in advance. Just a rough guess, but I'd say the 64 bit version is about 30-40% faster. I've yet to have any compatibility problems with printers, graphics cards, motherboards, scanners, etc. The interface is quite a bit different from XP, and takes a little getting used to, but provides much, much more information than XP, and is also easier to to get to. I'd buy either version again. |

The best yet
Comment:
After being disillusioned by virtually every other Microsoft operating system, Windows 7 comes along. Installation was the easiest and quickest of all previous versions. All the bottlenecks with Vista were eliminated and so far runs without a hitch. For those weened on Microsoft, this is the operating system you have been looking for. |

It's Soooooooooooooo Easy
Comment:
I was not impressed with Vista but then Windows 7 came along. This is a great product, I did the complete install. That was so easy and I am not computer savvy. Running a dual core cpu with 4 gig of ram and my computer is running great. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Cons:Driver Availability
Pros:Better StabilityFavorable Interface Comment:
I installed windows 7 back in August when the pre-release was made public.. The pre-release version of this OS worked BETTER that my original Vista Ultimate 64bit OS.. Many things have been improved upon such as interface, the integrated media center and a host of other things.. In my opinion, THIS is the finished version of what they wanted vista to be. |

Thanks Vista
Comment:
I would just like to thank all those who suffered Vista and got their frustrations heard. I avoided Vista like the plague but when building my new computer made the jump from XP to Win7 and don't regret it. It's slick, and fairly intuitive. Seem pretty stable after 3 weeks and utilizes my quad core well. |

I built a new system and installed the OEM version of Windows 7 home premium. Everything was plug and play from there. |

Suprised and Pleased
Comment:
So far, so good. Just using this barebone build to get a feel for Windows 7 but it has been suprisingly easy to install and update. Even added virus protection easily. Will be adding more software soon so lets keep fingers crossed that MS did it right. |

Windows 7 pleasantly surprised
Comment:
I was apprehensive about buy Windows 7 especially going to 64 bit for the first time. The only issue I've had is IE has stopped working 3 times in the past month, but it automatically recovers. I build my own computers and I have had no compatibility issues. I would definitely recommend it. |

Loaded so easy with DVD drive
Comment:
It's one of 6 items I bought from T.D. to make my son's pc for Christmas. I only had to add a DVD player and his dream case with power supply, 450watts. It looks like a transformer and lights up when u turn it on, too cool. 1. EVGA GeForce 9500 GT Video Card with 1GB DDR2, PCI Express 2.0 SLI Support,Dual Link Dual DVI, HDTV, VGA Support 2. Seagate 500GB Serial ATA HD 7200,16MB,SATA-3G 3. Corsair XMS2 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz 4. ASUS P5KPL-AM SE Intel G31 Socket 775 Motherboard 5. Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 2.5Ghz 2M 800mhz 6. Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit DVD OEM. It all works great together! Loaded real easy once I realized win7 comes on a DVD not a CDRom. Had to change the drive. My son is all geeked out about it. He's twelve. Hard to beat for the price. And the look on his face... priceless. |

Not bad
Comment:
I was nervous when I bought this thinking it would be like the copy of vista I purchased when it first was released. I kind of figured there would be so many bugs to weed through before it actually started to work decent. I installed it on a GA-P35-S3G mobo Q8200 with 6 gig of Corsair Dominator pc1066. I do kind of wish they would have done a little more with the graphics because it still looks a little like vista to me and its starting to give me nightmares again when I sleep because of all the trouble I went through with vista. :) I just wish I would have gotten that GeForce 275 when I bought the rest of this stuff so I wouldnt be waiting for it to be delivered right now. |

Win 7 OEM
Comment:
Great price for the best OS from Microsoft. Instal takes sometime, but it is very stable. I was on Beta version for almost 1 year. Had some issues with drivers but OEM version all is well. Better price then regular version |

Nice Slick the next Windows XP sp2
Comment:
Works. Snappy. Smart Ram usage. 4 gig set up used 850 meg for processes. 2 gig set up uses 450 mb. Nice. Power saving features work. Never HAD to install a Mobo driver (but did) For an idiot setting up a fresh instal or an upgrade, it actually will get your pc running with out scouring the web for basic drivers. I was real scared that the ATI Radeon drivers would tank for Win7 but they work. They didn't for the Win7 beta. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Cons:Still got a couple of blue screens. UAC is annoying.
Pros:Seems to work better than Vista. Comment:
Got this to upgrade my daugther's computer from Windows XP to Windows 7 (it's a complete reinstall anyway).Went fine. Stable (got 2 BSOD but could be faulty 64bits driver).User Access Control still is annoying, but not as much as Vista was. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-16-10 09:42 AM |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Cons:As always M$ charges too much for a product that is basically still in development.
Pros:Windows 7 media center looks nice! Comment:
I really like the media center part of Win7 but I don't think the desktop looks any better really. Some parts parts are nice like the tranparent windows but other buttons, icons and gadgets look very 2D and simplistic. I don't like the way they've orginized the settings for the OS. I guess I should say re-orginized. It's like when you go Canadian tire after they've renovated and they've moved everything and you can't find it anymore.... |

Excellent Product
Comment:
I am absolutely surprised to say that this has to be the best Windows OS I have yet to use. It is simple, loads quickly, and seems to run faster than previous versions. I had abandoned Vista to return to XP Pro but after trying Windows 7, I am never going back! As more 64 bit software becomes available, this OS is going to take over the PC world. |

Smooth Installation & No problems yet!
Comment:
I put this on my sister's HP laptop and freed them from their Hewitt Packard hell. I just downloaded some of the drivers (touchpad and audio) and everything was great. FYI you don't need all that extra stuff that HP bundles and thinks you need, including their utility progams on their website when you download the drivers. It's fast and no problems. |

good OS
Comment:
I only have one problem with Windows 7 and that is sometimes, and its kindoff rair, when I play a game my system would close that game for no reason and I would get no error messages. I would be just playing a game and all the sudden its gone and I would just be staring at my desktop. I assume it is the OS that is doing so. It would happen maybe ones a week but then agen I dont play games all that often, maybe three times a week. Other then that its a good OS. |

This 64 bit version is decidedly quicker and more robust. Still learning all the little nuances but it boots faster and takes you where you want to go instantly.Have had no problems with any glitches of any kind. It even fixes problems better than any previous version I have owned XP being the last.
