Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:None
Pros:Actual upgrade from XP, good design Comment:
Went to this from XP and jumped over Vista. Works good, less bulky then vista. No real complaints. Good option if you want to play all games out there while linux catches up. Might switch when it does. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:no upgrade path from 32bit..had to do fresh new installation
Pros:easy install Comment:
Took about 2 hrs to wipe HD and install W7 64bit...found all of the drivers on installation except a TV card. Changed to 64bit programs when they were available and when not reinstalled my 32bit programs which run just fine. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:ominous wording on the packaging
Pros:cheaper than an off the shelf version Comment:
My first OEM software purchase, working on upgrading some computers for my workplace. Before I even opened it I read the outside of the package that MS requires this software to have an OPK (preinstall kit) and that I have to be some sort of registered service technician. Got me all worried till I read on the NCIX forums that it's all just rubbish and to go ahead and install it anyway. I did, everything worked out just fine ;) |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:still overpriced
Pros:widely used, so no software compatibility issues Comment:
always owned windows. thought about going with Windows 8 for this new build, but it's really more geared towards touch-screen technology. not what i want for my desktop system. i'll stick with the OS i already know inside-out. it's just easy. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:-Not the Pro version
Pros:-Not Windows 8-Cheap Comment:
Given all the hullabaloo with the Windows 8 Metro interface and the removal of the Start menu, I picked this up for $85.Unless you're a power user, you won't miss too much the additional features of the Pro version, outlined in the following URL:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:No Isssues
Pros:Solid O/SStable Comment:
I went from Windows XP to Win 7 and I like some of the additional features. The gadgets that u can pin onto the desktop is useful, like the weather. The ability to right click on minimized tabs give more options and is a plus. I plugged in my new printer and it auto downloaded the Drivers for me, and I don't need to waste time on it, which is great!I didn't go with Win 8 cause it looked like they were building and optimizing it for the handheld, and Win 7 is more compatible with games. |

Cons:can't go wrong with win 7
Pros:better than win 8 or vistacan use the cd for any 64 bit version of win 7 - the licence key determines the version installed Comment:
Got this to insure myself against win 8 and now I have a physical disk from Microsoft for my other digital win 7 installations. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:Takes getting used and at times I miss XP
Pros:better than VistaSmooth interface Comment:
I'd take Windows 7 over Vista any day. So far it's working great and I'm sure the SSD drive, quad core CPU, and 16 GB of ram help big time ;) |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:None other then not the newest OS
Pros: Much more intuitive then Win 8Better than Vista (less power hungry)The logical step up from XP which is due to retire shortly. Comment:
After trying WIN 8 I made the decision to pick up a couple of extra copies of 7. One for a PC I'm building for someone else and one to keep back for when I sell this machine so I can hold on to my PRO copy. First time since 200 I didn't jump right on the relase of a new OS. Going to hold out for 9 and hope it's better than 8 |

Cons:Not much
Pros:Much better than Windows VistaNot worse than Windows 8 Comment:
Windows 7 is not going anywhere anytime soon. Still a great OS to buy, especially since Windows 8 needs a little more time to work out some compatibility issues. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:None that I can think of
Pros:I like the classic desktop interface. Faster than Vista or XP and stable Comment:
I needed to upgrade 2 desktops one XP & one Vista and I wasn't sure if I should get 2 Win 8 so I got 1 of each. I like the classic interface of WIN 7 but WIN 8 looks much cooler. I don't regret having 1 of each. They should be good for a little while or at leat until Microsoft stops supporting WIN 7 ;) This review was modfied by poster @ 11-25-12 09:35 AM |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:Updates...lots of them after initial install.
Pros:Quick install. No extra frills like bloatware. Runs so fast and smooth on a SSD. Comment:
Its Windows so information security is always something to think about. Comes with Windows Security Essentials and Windows Defender but both are intial forays into internet security and still need improvement. No worries though if you download and install some free security software from the many other providers. Feel confident in your purchase. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Cons:- It isn't UNIX-like :)
Pros:Compared to Windows XP:- Faster start-up- Easier on the eyes- Safer- Start menu search rocks! Comment:
After more than a year using Microsoft Windows 7, I can say without a doubt it is the real successor to Microsoft Windows XP. It's fast, reliable and it Just Works™. |
Great OS. Been using it on my laptop for 3 years and just bought a copy for my in-laws to upgrade their XP Home computer before XP goes end-of-life.
