Overall a great deal for under 30 bux. I might purchase a second. Quality aluminium enclosure with a pci-e card for upgrading older computers to USB 3.0. Increase speed from USB 2 only by a factor of 230 MB/s for USB2, 60 MB/s for USB 3 using this product???? where is my 5Gbps promised by MUKii???OK product if you are looking to move from USB2 to something faster, if you want super fast stick to eSATA. |

Cons:Hdd becomes rather hot for continous read and write operation after an hour or so
Pros:Cheap, easy installation and overall performance good Comment:
For normal operation , there is no problem since it has energy saving and won't become very hot. Installation is easy and fast, driver installation also has no problem and fast in winxp and win7, copying files from computer hdd into the enclosure can achieve 100MB/s speed Max writing to the outer core of the hdd. Overall its cheap when on sale and surely worth to buy. |

When you install the driver you will get a blue screen in Windows 7 x64. I search on the web and it seems to happen often. WORKAROUND: Use driver "0.98" for Etron USB3.0 Controller (with google you will find it)When it works, it fast more then my NEC USB3.0 controller.This is the only problem of this package....the driver. |
I Bought this just to upgrade my old system from USB2.0 to USB3.0 spec. The only thing I notice is the hard drive enclosure yields quite a bit of "heating up" if you constantly using it most of the time.
