Mushkin 997052 2X4GB 1866 CL9 1.5V
Cons:Heatsinks are somewhat tall, but still fit, barely, under a NH-D14
Pros:Very good speeds for the money |
The images are wrong. The ones pictured have a lower profile than the actual product.Honestly, if you are looking to purchase DDR3 RAM, then any of them will do, there is hardly any difference in performance between the various brands and categories. The only differences you will get are how the heat spreaders are shaped, how tall they are and what colour they are. There really are only three guidelines you should follow when purchasing DDR3 RAM, so that you don't purchase inferior products.1: It should be of the 1.5V variety.2: It should be DDR3-1600 or higher, but with a good price. (8GB/$40 for 1600 is the current going rate)3: It should be low profile, because tall ones have problems with high performance CPU heatsinks.Follow that and just buy whatever brand or colour you like.
