Mushkin Enhanced Blackline Frostbyte 16GB 4X4GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24 Quad Channel Memory Kit
Cons:heatspreaders filmsy
Pros:16GB for 90$ Comment:
Good memory and runs at advertised speeds, but if you compare it to Corsair RAM it just feels cheap. The heatspreaders are very thin and they move when you press on top of them (tu put the modules in). If you can go for Corsair RAM. |
Bought these on sale for $79, quite happy with them as they run at 9-9-9-24 DDR3-1600 1.5V as advertised without issue on my Z77 mobo. Haven't tried overclocking or pushing the timings down yet. The heatspreaders are a big flimsy, but that doesn't bother me as once they are installed I'll never touch them again. They barely fit under a Noctua NH-D14 on my P8Z77-V Pro, about a 2mm gap between the fan and 2 DIMMs.For $100ish I'd buy the Corsair low-pro Vengence instead, but at $79 it was a no brainer to get these as I like Mushkin as well.
