Mushkin MKNSSDAT240GB Atlas mSATA 240GB SSD Solid State Disk Flash Drive
Cons:Not as fast as some full size SSD's but that's to be expected

Pros:Inexpensive.Light.Dependable.
Comment:
To Matt B.I haven't encountered over-heating on my smaller version but you can do what I have done on other drives with TrueCrypt.Make the encrypted partition size you want on another cooler drive and then just copy it to the mSATA. The copying is VERY fast - up to the limit of your 2 drives.

Mushkin MKNSSDAT240GB Atlas mSATA 240GB SSD Solid State Disk Flash Drive
Cons:early batches of msata SSD, not as fast as newer gen msata SSDs

Pros:fast, very cheap l $160, great endurance, decent storage size
Comment:
to Matt_B who reviewed it before me:comparing SSD is fine but at least try to find similar ones and compare them.first, you are throwing together a msata SSD and a 2.5" SSD. majority of time msata SSD loses in performance as it is a newer technology.second, this particular msata SSD has been around for awhile now, much longer than your neutron GTX, ie older firmware, higher die size nand flash, therefore 8k size page instead of 16k, which is slower in sequential speed.third, neutron GTX uses DRAM, where as this msata runs on sandforce controller without DRAM to buffer it's transfer. when you transfer a file size thats larger than DRAM cache size, you'll see massive degrade in it's performance and that brings it to fact fourfourth, with DRAM filled up (say a 4+gb ISO/movie file) you'll really get to bottom of flash and controller speed, which neutron GTX working with DRAM is maxed at around 300 MB/s write while this msata SSD is at around 220 MB/s as it has no DRAM.lastly, you're using a laptop so its alright but if not, during a power outage, all the files thats inside DRAM gets erased so you better hope w/e is in DRAM gets written into the flash because neutron GTX doesn't have capacitor to protect data from power loss. Mushkin MKNSSDAT240GB Atlas mSATA 240GB SSD Solid State Disk Flash Drive
Cons:No install screw, can get very hot

Pros:Good Price, Good Speed
Comment:
I bought this a while ago for a boot drive for my Lenovo Y500. The drive does not come with an install screw, and my laptop did not have one in it. I COULD NOT FIND THE PROPER SIZED SCREW to mount it. I ended up forcing a screw in that was not the proper size. I have used the drive for a while with no problems. It is fast, but not nearly as fast as the other SSD I have in the laptop, a Corsair Neutron GTX. I have not benchmarked this drive yet but when copying files >1GB back and forth between the drives, I get about 350mb/s write to this drive, and >500mb/s write to the Corsair. Yesterday I attempted to encrypt this drive with Truecrypt, and the operating temp rose to 96^C before I noticed and was able to pause the encryption. The drive was attaching and detaching itself from the operating system repeatedly during this time. However, the drive still works, and I am forced to encrypt it in 5 minute bursts.
