The switch works the way it should. It is easy to install and does not need any software .

I love it! I work on computers and I have fiber-optic Internet access. With this switch it matters not what operating system I am working with, I just plug in my ethernet cable and start downloading updates or whatever I need.

Worked right out of the box. Helped all the rest of the router and network cards are netgear also. X-box hooked up with out any problems.

What a deal! And simply plug it in either as a network hub on its own or uplinked from a router to expand a network - couldn't be simpler, and it works perfectly. It's a steal especially with free (and fast!) shipping from Tiger and the promised rebate.

I gave this switch Four Stars solely on it's performance. Works Great! Easy to setup and I had three machines connected to the internet from a cable modem in just five minutes. In fairness to NetGear the switch deserves Five Stars but the product lost points for failing to deliver on the $10 rebate. I completed all the forms, mailed in the UPC and copy of my Tiger Direct order, but after two weeks I received an email from NetGear that stated the claim was INVALID and the reason was that it was purchased at an ''INVALID PURCHASE LOCATION''. I bought it here! Goodby $10 rebate! But still a great switch for $20.
