I bought two of these items refurbished and they work marvelously. Just plug it in and it functions with Ubuntu Linux 9.10. Functions well in windows as well. Recommend getting them refurbished, significantly cheaper. Updating Ubunut 9.10 as we speak with the Netgear WG111v3. Once I have internal NIC configured it will go back in the box till the next time I need it. Great tool.

I twitched a bit at the price, but liked the idea that I could move it around from computer to computer. It works great, and was super easy to get up and running

Loses the network about two hours after the desktop is locked, and every time after logoff. Have to log back on with cable connection. Once logged on, it wakes back up after a minute. It may be fine for home use, but not in an office network environment.

Unfortunately i feel the above reviewers must be feeling quite differently about this item - the well documented overheating problems have hampered this usb wireless stick from functioning properly. If you don't believe me just look it up on google - such a shame from a company that makes (normally) great products.

Great adapter which worked out of the box. Of note, the cradle may prevent adequate connection. If you do not see a blue light once you have connected you usb device, it is probably that the connection is not tight. Just chuck the cradle. i

Very good product! I bought this under advice from a network consultant. Without a doubt it does everything they said it would and more. I have it hooked to a computer on the first floor of my apartment building, ( my router is on the third floor) and the signal is always excellent. Highly recommended!

Awesome its worth every penny I like the fact that there is also and extionsion for the USB and you can attach it to the side of your tower or monitor. I tested it and it works when it has a exellent reading for connection that it works just as fast as normal internet. It is a great product
