Recertified Because It's Flawed
Comment:
You may get one that was returned because it didn't work right. I stopped using this one and instead I use my EnGenius one. This one overheats. There are other reviews here that mention overheating. My computer is worth too much to risk on a hot wireless adapter. |

Better than the Sabrent PCI cards I bought
Comment:
Frustrated that I wasted $60 on 2 Sabrent PCI cards that would only achieve 135Mbps and drop to 0Mbps frequently, I tried this USB adapter. I was quite amazed that I got the full 300Mbps connection first try. I would definitely recommend! |

Good product for the price.
Comment:
I bought this to use in my 5th Wheel RV. I've had it for a week. No problems so far. I have consistent high-speed wireless connections with no dropped conections. I am hooked up at home using my netgear router (WPN824). When I am camping I will be connecting to wireless hotspots. Most RV campgrounds have them. Cons: Only thing I was upset about this order is when it's a recertified it does not come with any software or manual. You have to download it which it not a problem, just a hassle. Also the Ser. number is marked out. It was a great buy and it works. It's not a dual range only 2.4GHz. Other than these cons, I would recommend it to others. |

What Frequency
Comment:
With this being a Wireless N device, does anyone know which frequency this thing operates at, 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz? |

Works okay
Comment:
I've had no issues installing and using the adapter. No problems downloading the WIN7 drivers. Funny thing is that the connection speed I get with it is GOOD and 4 bars versus the EXCELLENT and 5 bars I get with the S A B R E N T n adapter. |

Drivers not available
Comment:
I bought 2 of these and went to the vendor's web site to download the drivers. They don't give you the drivers, they give you some stupid software you have to install which does not recognize the unit that is plugged in. Windows recognizes it but the drivers are not there because it's packaged in the .exe file I have to install. Whoever is sitting on the decision desk at Netgear is a total moron. |

works great!
Comment:
It does take a little to figure out download driver and in my case Windows XP. It took me about 1 hour because software and driver installation kept locking, but eventually it installed. Then I just set my parameters for my verizon router and its working great, so far. Takes a little computer knowledge if you buy this product, it doesn't just connect when hardware is installed. I received it without cd installation, maybe with cd it would be easier. So finally my resaon for score of 4 is because of the installation process but the hardware gets a 5 |

Failed on overheat
Comment:
I bought 2 Netgear recertified USB wireless adapter. Both failed on high speed download. It can only be used for low usage internet browsing. Netgear don't support these kind devices after warranty period. Don't it.... |

Recertified or Refurbished - not worth it
Comment:
Simply stated, this product did not work. When you go to the vendor's website to obtain driver, two versions are presented and it is not possible to determine which one is appropriate for this device. It was not recognized by my windows OS 7 or vista, most likely because it was defective. Reviews for this product are mostly good, but I guess it depends on if you get a working unit. It doesn't matter what the item costs when it doesn't work. You should spend a few xtra bucks and get a better quality item. |

Netgear WN111
Comment:
The $9.99 model is just as good. The first one didn't work but the return replacement only process was very customer friendly. I may need a router to match up better, but would not buy it again. |

Change Your USB Port Settings
Comment:
Newer computers USB port can turn off your device to save power. Go into your computers control panel and disable their ability to do this or you may have problems. |

What a terrible, slow, piece of you know what!
Comment:
I recently purchased this adapter to use for a DELL Desktop. Every time I log out, the adapter turns off. It takes up to 5 minutes to re-connect after a log out. If the computer goes to sleep, it also turns off. It is also slow when it works. DO NOT BUY THIS ADAPTER! Please spend more money on something of better quality, not Netgear. |
