If you want a small rackmount computer, especially as a simple file server, without too many frills, this case will do just fine. It has 6x 3.5" drive bays, which makes for a decent file server. It can fit all commodity hardware; no expensive server parts required. It stays cool without being extremely loud like many server cases. The workmanship is also quite good. It's a tight fit for cables in places, like when installing the power supply and cabling to the rear drive bay, but it's good for its size.You could probably mount this using just the wings, but you'll probably want to use rails. Be aware that the rails that NORCO sells are terrible! Many sites still say they are ball-bearing, but they no longer are. They have ball-bearing models, but you'll have to order from them. The mounting holes on this case are sparse and didn't line up with my existing rails, so I had to modify my rails. NORCO doesn't say what other rails might fit. Be prepared to order rails or modify your existing ones.Also, if looks are your thing, it doesn't look great from the front. You can see through the black face to the aluminium interior and it looks cheap. Honestly though, it's a server case; who cares what it looks like.Overall, it works great as a file server for storing my nightly backups. It's a very good deal for a rackmount case.
