NZXT Beta Evo ATX Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front Audio USB Black
Cons:
My biggest and so far the only complaint about this case is its tool-less CD-Rom clap. They are simply junk. These claps are so flimsy, they are UNUSABLE! Instead of using metal for the latch part of the clap, NZXT decided to use cheap, breaks-like-tofu plastic. I had a great time assembling this box until the moment I had to put in my DVD drive.
Pros: Quite light, but still a very sturdy case.Overall construction is very good, everything is aligned and flush like they should be. Nice paint job. Not exactly matte, but still holds well against fingerprinting. Only thing to note is that in person, it looks a lot "black-er" than the picture shows (the side panel on the picture looks almost grey). I actually wouldn't mind if NZXT came up with a black and grey two-tone version. But this case is completely black.I consider having two top vents on this case a plus, but they do look slightly cheap. Does have a filter for the PSU vent at the bottom. It would be even better if they were removable. Comment:
The price was right, and overall a great product.Has vents everywhere that should has one. Modern design so everything goes to their optimal position.Has enough room (not a whole lot more though) to route cables through the back.Plenty of latches to attach strip ties. Would definitely buy again. But only buy if you can live with using screws to secure your 5.25 devices. |

NZXT Beta Evo ATX Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front Audio USB Black
Cons:
None so far.
Pros: Roomy, well-ventilated, easy access, good layout, no rough edges, good build. Comment:
Lots of room to work. No cuts or nicks on my hands as all the edges are finished. Lots of ventilation and room for fans galore if you need them. Really easy to remove the parts in the front for drives and in the back for cards. Hard drives easy access. All the parts you need to quickly install the peripherals are there. I'd buy again. |

NZXT Beta Evo ATX Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front Audio USB Black
Cons:
none
Pros: LookSpaceAir flowAudio + usb at the top Comment:
It is a great looking case, and it has enough space. Otherwise, the audio cable and the usb cable are on top and in the back of the case. Air flow is awesome. But watch out if you buy a big CPU cooler : you may not have enough space to put one of the two side fans. In anyways, I recommend this case. |

NZXT Beta Evo ATX Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front Audio USB Black
Cons:- Rough, uneven exterior paint job- Not too much room to route from behind the motherboard plate- Noisy due to all those ventilation holes
Pros:- Black finish on interior- Tool less drive bays (both 5.25 and 3.5)- Perpendicular hard drive mounting- Lots of fan potential- Enough room for extra-long video cards (GTX 295 etc)- Good front port variety (USB, eSATA, Audio)- Inexpensive Comment:
For a budget office or gaming computer, this is a very good case. It's inexpensive. I personally got this for $50 and a mail in rebate to boot. No complaints other than the paint job being a bit rough on the outside and the noise - it has ventilation on virtually every part of the case. One thing I'm loving is the eSATA on the top of the case; there aren't many other cases in the sub $50 range that even have a front eSATA port! I'm impressed.Overall, a very capable case at a very low price. |

NZXT Beta Evo ATX Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front Audio USB Black
Cons:- Bevelled front + fins makes it difficult to place discs into a DVD tray at the top slot.- Too many 12cm fan openings.
Pros:- Painted interrior, normally reserved for higher end cases.- Cable management/routing system behind the motherboard tray. Comment:
This is a big case. Very deep and very wide. Optical drives are held in place by quick release clips. HDD's are held in place by drive plastic rails. Painted interrior gives it a nice look. The case can acommodate one 12cm fan at the back, 2 at the top, 1 in the front and 2 on the left panel. Granted this is a low budget gaming case but no sane person will use this many fans. All the openings just interrupt proper airflow within the case. Not the best case out there but for the price after MiR I cannot complain.Removing 2 stars for fan openings, bevelled front panel and plastic clips instead of metal. Adding back 1 star for value. |

NZXT Beta Evo ATX Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front Audio USB Black
Cons:Painted intertior but no window?Start and reset buttons not labeled well
Pros:Painted interiorCable routing holesCable-tie clipsScrewless Comment:
For the money this is a great case. It is very easy to work with and is nicely finished on the inside. It is painted but no window to see how nice it looks! It also has a cutout for the CPU so that you can change fans without having to remove the mobo. Lots of places to add more fans (which don't come with the case). My only real complaint is that the start and reset buttons are easy to mix up (it's for my mom) and it is a little plain looking. |

NZXT Beta Evo ATX Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front Audio USB Black
Cons:Some of the sheet metal has too much flex, only one fan comes standard, 140mm are not cheap
Pros:Painted black interior, tons of airflow options, very easy to build inside of Comment:
Looking for an alternative for the Antec 300 and this fit the bill - tons of airflow, and the ability to select the fans that I want to match with the build. But have to say that 140mm fans are not cheap and quickly eat into the savings that you get (case after rebate was only $30Cdn). Must say that the motherboard tray cutout, side mounted HDD drive bays and the painted interior were all pluses. Outfitting the thing with case fans (2x140mm and 1x120mm) cost more than the case itself. Fit and finish was pretty good (lots of room for routing cables and hiding them) with very little blood loss. Missing are a 3.5" to 5.25" external adapter, and the bottom air filter for the power supply is not easily removable after the build is complete. Ended up flipping over the power supply. All in all - pretty happy with how the build went. |
This is a really solid case. NZXT really knows how to make them. It is sturdy but not too heavy. Lots of room for fans and expansion and it can fit longer video cards. Power supply is bottom-mounted with a vent at the bottom as well to promote air flow. It also has openings for water-cooling tubes if you want to go that route.Great case for the price for sure.
