Natural Point Trackir 5 Optical Head Tracker 120FPS 6 Degrees of Freedom
Cons:Should be cheaper.

Pros:Awesome. Very easy setup.
Comment:
TrackIR will seem like a waste of money until you buy it, once you use it though you won't be able to go back. If you play FSX or Arma II you need this. Mine did not come with the track clip pro as some others had said on here. If you don't buy the Track Clip pro I would suggest have a baseball hat just for the track clip. The clip fells flimsy and would probably have a longer life if left alone. All in all no regrets here.

Natural Point Trackir 5 Optical Head Tracker 120FPS 6 Degrees of Freedom
Cons:Expensive.Makes you nauseous the first few times you use it.

Pros:Easy to install and setup.Very low impact on system performance.
Comment:
Works great with Flight Simulator X. It provides a very immersive flight experience. Once you get over the initial nausea, you will not want to fly without it. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it is so expensive.

Natural Point Trackir 5 Optical Head Tracker 120FPS 6 Degrees of Freedom
Cons:Support

Pros:Cool Product
Comment:
TrackIR isa great toy, I'd saya must have for a flight sim.Support was a big problem. It broke appx 6 months after I bought it. The manufacturer said we don't support the item for non-US resident contact your retailer. The retailer (ncix) said we don't support it past 30 days of purchase, contact the manufacturer. In the end, I was out $180.

Natural Point Trackir 5 Optical Head Tracker 120FPS 6 Degrees of Freedom
Cons:none

Pros:solid trackingincludes trackclip pro
Comment:
i haven't tested this in games because my main gaming rig is still awaiting it's videocard. But tested this in my laptop and it does what it advertise. Another thing, mine included trackclip pro... it is not written in the ncix product details but at the same price, this is a bargain.

Natural Point Trackir 5 Optical Head Tracker 120FPS 6 Degrees of Freedom
Cons:Pricey, but worth it

Pros:Smooth operationSimple set up (for FSX)Completely changes the sim experience
Comment:
Now that I finally purchased and used this for 2 months there is no way I'd do a flight sim without it. It seriously transforms the experience.I didn't get the pro clip but the included hat clip works great in a room with the light full on. No tweaks in the software were needed. This was a very pleasant suprise, it is real simple to use and set up.If you already have good controls and are into flight simming this should be your next big purchase.

Natural Point Trackir 5 Optical Head Tracker 120FPS 6 Degrees of Freedom
Cons:price

Pros:tiny, well-built, low-impact software install, tracks extremely well
Comment:
The price of the TrackIR puts it in the 'fanatic' category, which is a shame, because this is one of the most brilliant pieces of gaming gear I've ever tried. It totally transforms the flight sim experience, making it so much more natural and immersive that it's almost impossible to describe. The hardware package is tiny, but seems painstakingly well-built. The software is equally tiny, and consists of just a USB driver and an applet you use for calibration or creation of custom game profiles. When not in use, you can shut it down. I've seen no impact on my system, something I'm always concerned about. In use, the TrackIR does exactly what it claims: it allows you to 'look' effortlessly around a virtual cockpit. This is more intuitive than I'd have expected. For example, you only need to turn your head slightly to 'look' directly out the back of the plane - but when you do it, you really get the feeling you're craning your neck. Your brain obviously fills in any missing sensations. Some of the things that are notoriously difficult in a flight sim become a real pleasure with the TrackIR. Most obvious are circuits and landings. You can maintain total awareness of the runway without thinking about it, and focus your attention on airspeed and altitude.Yes, the cost of the TrackIR is steep, but the experience is really worth the money. If you enjoy flight sims at all, or games like ArmA that support the TrackIR, treat yourself and grab this gadget. You won't be sorry!
