This NAS is easy to use. I bought six 1.5TB drives to replace the three 500GB drives this comes with. Much cheaper than buying the 9TB model. At RAID6, it has 5.4TB of storage; I needed the safety. Easy access door allows the hard drives to be removed quickly. Nice blue LED screen that give the IP address and how many hard drives are installed. Even flashes, if you need to locate it among other NASs As far a noisy, I can't tell. This unit is in a server room and it was loud in there to begin with.
