Just bought a couple of these and installed onto 2 silverstone 80mm case fans. This is the only filter I've tried other than house hold materials like women's pantyhose and fabric softner. The filter works better than those materials but still restricts quite a bit of airflow. I'm using the fans to blow air into my xbox360 so I have to use filters since I cannot clean the inside. So the filters are better than nothin' |
Neat accessory from Nexus. The cover comes off for easy filter clean-up. Airflow, however, is quite restricted, i'd say by half. I replaced the filter with one recouped from an old window air-conditionner, and while not restricting airflow as much, keeps the dust out just as well. No screws included, but i've got plenty of those.
