Cuts down on vibration. Cant feel the fan running by touching the case. No way to mount a filter on fans with strong (tubular) mounting holes. The mounts are stretchy & can be pushed through holes & removed via holes with a small pair of needle nose pliers. None. I utilized these to replace the original fan mounts I had to cut off a case fan in a Dell tower. These mounts I applied with this fan from Newegg (Antec 761345-75093-6 92mm Situation Fan) which worked good to replace the old fan which wasn't moving really substantially air. The new fan has a hardware switch to adjust fan speed (very nice). These fan mounts maintain the fan from vibrating & creating further noise against the plastic housing the fan was secured also. In this situation, the housing directed airflow away from the CPU and out of the situation.

dampens vibrations I managed to shear one of them but it was my fault. A bit pricey for 4 peiced of silicon. if you want to quiet down your computer these will assist. Just don't place as well significantly sheer force on these.

My vibrating challenge on the two 140mm fans i had stopped totally and its alot quieter than it employed to be. And now when i touch my case i don't really feel it vibrating =) I broke one when trying to pull it off a fan that i wanted to place someplace else and it didn't force it out ether. I shimmied it out and the top rated of it snapped off and was rendered useless. They we built in ok quality i guess.

Quite good item. they hold pretty tight, taking into consideration there holding up Ultra Kaze fans, which weigh a decent amount for case fans lol, cuts down on noise and vibration, the Ultra Kaze fans are i believe 45 or 50 some odd decibel's they didnt come with a toaster oven :(

vibration dampening. feels weak and maybe flimsy but i have had it in my method for various fans for 4 months+ now. simpler to install/remove compared to screws. not for heavy duty or large fans. i do not suggest use with fans bigger than 180mm. anything smaller should be fine. wish i could buy in bulk and get discount..
