Have a Hyper 212 Evo heatsink and the stock fan after about a year or so made a very loud noise constantly. A sort of constant grind/whine noise. I just didn't realize how much of a difference it really is. With this fan, the computer sounds almost dead silent (paired with Corsair 50D case) - it's amazing. Anyone in a similar situation (as Google has revealed tons of bad 212 stock fans), definitely do it! Installation was very easy.

I bought 3 of those fans for my Norco RPC-4224 and they are doing their job. I would not say they are that quiet but it's not that bad. The noise level of my server with those and 2 Noctua 80mm is quite low.

This fan is amazing. On low speeds you can't even hear it. I replaced all my system fans and it made a major difference. I also have a custom fan controller driven by software controlling my fans.

I have 4 of these -- two came with the Noctua CPU cooler, and then I ordered 2 a lot more to place in my case.Usually my computer case is fairly warm after an hour or two of getting turned on. With these installed the case was COLD to the touch. Due to the fact my personal computer is on the floor subsequent to my chair, my feet are actually cold now. Could have to turn on the heater.I don't see the point of which includes the "low noise" adapters. It is currently silent.

Amazing fan. I have it serving me as a front intake and it's lowered the comp's temp about 6C. Incredibly quiet (see cons). The darned fan is so quiet, the quietest fan I had is now loud. So now I have to invest into some other fans mainly because the front intake (which was significantly louder than anything) is now the most silent element. Not actually a con, but I just wanted to express how quiet it is. Don't count on dead silence. It's not going to take place (in my opinion). It still tends to make fan noise from pulling by means of the vents, on the computer case. The fan is quiet sufficient to make me have to get two further replacements to quiet the other fans. Great enterprise scheme.

quite quiet, moves lots of air, cable is currently sleeved and very properly made. state of the art in the case fan/cooling business. Practically not possible to match anything else in the world, let alone your case, to its colour scheme, but if you're hunting at this fan then colour is more of a preference than a have to have. I actually own the NH-D14 and this comes mounted on it. It moves 54 CFM at much less than 19dbs!!! Most fans push that even though producing 30-40dbs. this fan is half as loud as 30dbs and a quarter of 40dbs fans. I have these bad boys operating complete speed all the time and can only I hear my PSU's 140mm fan. HAHA if you're questioning if you must get it, just do your self the favor and just do it.

I forgot to point out that the NF-P12 ࿖ CFM) has a really slight motor hum. If you're interested in a absolutely silent setup, I would go with the Noctua NF-S12-1200 ࿍ CFM @ 17 dBA) which has close to zero motor noise but much less CFM. On the other hand, the NF-P12 nonetheless has larger static stress for CPU cooling and is particularly quiet at 20 dBA. N/A

Quiet, moves a lot more air than expected at the noise level.Sleeved connecter and of a fantastic lenght for a clean set up.No whine or noticible hum at complete speed, I do not run the incorporated speed reducers. None that I can believe of. The fan may possibly be quiet but air movement isn't. Alternatively of hearing a noisy fan motor / blades you hear the air flow. Something to be aware of depending on your case design and place.

Supposedly this is the cooler fan, created to make stress to push air via close-set cooler vanes. Noctua designed the sister fan NF S12B to move air. But the reviews say this fan moves as considerably air as that fan. I agree - and it can really draw.I purchased both of these fans, but I discovered that the NF-P12 moves as significantly air as the NF-S12B, specifically at low RPM. And it's quieter. So I installed it as the case exhaust fan. It pulls additional air with less noise than the stock fan it replaced.I swapped the side panels of my case so that I could no longer hear my cooler fan through the side vent. Now I could hear air going in through the slits in the front face of my case. I could also hear though the vent - now behind the motherboard - the air going in although the underside of the MB and by means of the cable pass-throughs. All of this at low RPM, by the way.It's that capacity to create pressure. It performs fantastic as an exhaust fan. I assume you could make a silent vacuum cleaner with it. None. I have this fan controlled by the MB. It comes with in-line resistors to supply three levels of RPM, but the speed manage on the MB is a perfect option.I have several fans by other makers. I use this one particular. I'm thinking of making use of it on a Megahalems. If that functions out I'll be getting an additional of these.

Quiet at full speed.Move reasonable amount of air. Make a tiny noise pushing air by means of a 3x120mm radiator. Higher pressure works wonders on heatsink (thermalright extreme) on a quad core i7 920 cpu. Was employing reduce pressure noctua 120mm fan and saw idle/load temps of 42ኩ. -Quiet-Decent air flowI purchased a new computer system final month and the 120mm that came with the radiator was uber loud, sounded like a vacuum cleaner. I did some investigation and found that these Noctuas were supposed to be quiet. Given that I figured that the lower RPMs would mean decrease airflow, I purchased 2 of them. I installed 1 of them with the radiator at very first in a pull configuration considering that I only had sufficient screws for the 1 fan. It right away quieted down my personal computer. The fan is indeed extremely quiet. Price I don't have a gaming rig -this is my only fan in my antec case....primary case fan exhaust. functions good. I preserve going more than to it to make sure it's blowing air. I combined this fan with the addition of a power supply gasket and now I can no longer hear my pc.....awesome

This is not made to be a case fan. It's meant to cool precise areas like a CPU radiator. Not meant to be in a push/pull config. Push/Pull will cause whistling and no gains. You do not need push/ pull with this fan.
