Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan
Cons:The color scheme is not that great.
Pros:Very quietGood for case cooling Comment:
I was at first skeptical at buying premium fans, but I'm very satisfied with the performance and the low noise of these fans. Definitely recommend these fans to anyone who wants a quiet case fan. |

Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan
Cons:Ugly colouring
Pros:Quiet, Quiet, Quiet. Comment:
These fans are so quite I don't know where to begin. They could be used in the Library, and they wouldn't disturb anybody!I can't even tell my CPU is on anymore just by listening. The Room Fan is louder than these! The colouring for me doesn't matter as they are in an ANTEC case behind some dust filters, what matters was the quietness.I have the CPU near the bedroom, and my wife use to complain if I left the Computer on. Now she doesn't even notice! If I ever get another Case & CPU I am definitely going with these fans! I am a FAN of NOCTUA now! |

Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan
Cons:A little airflow noise at full speed
Pros:QuietExtremely well-madeUnbelievably high airflowLong warrantyEasy to mount Comment:
These are my first Noctuas. The airflow through these is incredible. I can feel a breeze a few feet away! The fan is very easy to mount and the included silicone mounting grommets can be reused. There is absolutely no vibration from this fan or motor noise, the only sound you hear is air turbulence. At full speed I find that the airflow turbulence is noticeable - their reputation would have you believe it's silent at all speeds but I don't find this to be the case. Given the extreme airflow at high speed though, I certainly don't mind. These fans are extremely well-made and supported by an impressively long warranty.Simply put, these are the best case fans you can buy. |

Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan
Cons:- Don't like the color scheme- A bit pricey if you have multiple case fans to replace
Pros:+ Quiet+ Lots of accessories Comment:
I want to replace the fans on my Antec P280 case and Noctua is one of the top two fans manufacturers on my list. When I installed them, it feels like they aren't there. It is that quiet! They come with a bunch of accessories. The extension cable is particularly useful when the fans are used on the front of the case. |

Amazing fans. Extremely quiet -- only thing you can hear is the air flow. Comes with a ton of extra cables and has no clicking/whining/whistling associated with PWm fans. |

Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan
Cons:Other than price, none
Pros:SilentVery good airflowList of accessories is impressive Comment:
I use this fan as an exhaust, where there are no obstructions. It has a very high airflow and low noise. The best exhaust fan I ever had. I had a 4$ Coolermaster for 6 years which was OK but after tasting Noctua products, I won't go back.People often comment the look of Noctua fans, but I find them better looking when on hands than on pictures. Anyway, look is a matter of taste and shouldn't be considered as a Con in a review in my opinion. The package (accessories) is quite impressive for a fan. I highly recommend getting Noctua fans. |

Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan
Cons:Cost
Pros:Amazingly quiet, lots of accessories Comment:
Like all Noctua fans, these are amazingly quiet and excellently built. I'm using one of these on my server as a front intake and unless I open the front cover and stick my ear next to it, I can't hear it at all. I love the rubber mounting pieces it comes with, and the rubber pads on the corners of the fans. I wish their smaller fans had these. |

Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan
Cons:High cost
Pros:Quiet motorLow vibration Comment:
Using this fan for intake on my P280.They do OK placed up against the intake filter on the front of my case. I love how smooth they run there's no vibration that I can feel and the motor itself is very quiet without much hum noise.I prefer Scythe Slipstreams to these fans because they are also quiet and smooth while costing half as much, unfortunately they are are hard to find anywhere now. |
I have been trying different brands to get cooling and reduce the noise for years. I saw the reviews of these fans and the consensus seemed to be good. Note that these are for a Corsair Vengeance C70 Mid-Tower case. I just received the 4x 120mm fans yesterday. Installation was a breeze as it should be. I noticed a HUGE difference in the fan noise. My PC no longer sounds like a jet engine starting up and I can actually enjoy gaming and music/video on the PC without having to turn the volume up anymore to adjust for the fan noise.I used the low noise adapter lines on mine. According to my BIOS they are running at pretty high speed anyways. I have only noticed a 2-3 degree rise in temps since the install which is nothing. CPU went from a steady 40 degrees to 42-43 degrees, but as I stated, I am using the low noise/fan speed reducer line included in the package. I think I'll be ordering the CPU heatsink fans in this line as well. So far, so good, I highly recommend these, worth the price if you want to quiet down your PC.
