Noctua NH-C12P SE14
Cons:Heatpipes pertrude on one side making that side warm to anything underneath it. The fan isn't positioned over the pipes on one side. Might make it hard to replace or add ram since the one side is positioned over it depending on your motherboard.

Pros:Small compared to the tower type.If positioned correclty will also cools ram.5 deg cooler performance then stock in my system at idle and under load.Only one quiet 140mm fan, reduces vibration and noise.
Comment:
I put it on my PhenomII x6 which was running at 43 idle, 50 under load. Once I replaced the original HS and put the Noctua SE14 my temps went to 38 idle, 45 under load. 5 deg difference was nice but the big difference was that I wasn't hearing the stock fan winding anymore! The new fan is quiet even under load, you also have options to put an in line resistor to slow down the Noctua fan to make it even quieter but it's quiet as is.Well packaged, all the hardware requiered is in the box, easy install.

Noctua NH-C12P SE14
Cons:- Ugly- Hard to assemble

Pros:- Does its job
Comment:
This cooler is very very good for its purpose, but installing it is very tricky (thermal paste and the mounting of the heatsink is very difficult with those odd metal hooks). The color of the entire thing doesn't fit in at all with the rest of the computer. Of course it's unlikely anyone will be looking inside it very much but, didn't look nice with blue/white/red/black!

Cons:Instructions a bit confusing.

Pros:QuietGood job cooling CPU.
Comment:
Installation can be tricky. Make sure to install the base before mounting the motherboard. I had unmount and reinstall the mainboard without reading the complete instruction for the cooler. Wished they had it in BOLD in and as the first line of instruction.

Noctua NH-C12P SE14
Cons:- lack of PWM controlled fan- you may run into RAM clearance issues (I didn't, but I cannot remove my memory without re-seating the heatsink on the CPU)

Pros:- good to great cooling performance- near silent fan-
Comment:
Great cooler, absolutely awesome performance with next to no audible noise. Keeps my i7 2600K idling at 28-33 C, and at 4 GHz (VCore at 1.2V), keeps it just under 57 C. That being said, the cooler is fairly massive, so you should check the clearance before purchasing (my G.Skill Ripjaws-X memory clears it fine, but I have to re-seat the heatsink if I want to remove one of the modules or add more DIMMs).

Noctua NH-C12P SE14
Cons:- Ugly fan color- No brackets for using fan on case as 140mm- Full size coolers generally still give better results- Somewhat expensive if not part of a combo

Pros:- Good temps- Many mounting options
Comment:
I was a bit "forced" into buying this cooler, as most other ones are far bigger, and there were risks that they wouldn't fit in a CM 690 II Advanced case with side fans installed, and I didn't have the case in hand to check. As I planned on using 2 side fans, I wanted to reuse the fan that comes with the cooler as a 140mm case fan. Also, I bought this as a combo with the i5 2500k, which was very cheap. However, to my disappointment, the fan didn't come with the special brackets to attach it as a 140mm fan on the case. Also, though this is better than the stock cooler, full sized coolers still give generally better temps. If you're doing some major OC, I wouldn't recommend this one. Note that I'm using the G.SKILL Ripjaws 2x4GB ram, and the sticks fit nicely under the heatsink.

Cons:none

Pros:price, reputation
Comment:
purchased with the i5 2500K combo. this unit sure looks heavy duty vs. the stock cooler. I haven't startied my OC-ing. But, if I run into trouble, it won't be because of the cooling.

Noctua NH-C12P SE14
Cons:-None.

Pros:-1 Fan, 140mm is quiet compared to other 120mm coolers.-Small Size, relatively.-Great cooling power, cools all components around socket, mounted so that fins extend over both dual-channel RAM.
Comment:
Bought as part of the i5-2500k + C12P SE14 combo. Great CPU cooler, cooler performance is on par with many dual fan coolers (D14, Cogage True Spirit) and size is small in comparison. As long as you have adequate air flow in your case, it will be great!Have my 2500k O/C to 4.4GHz easily and idle temps are 25-34, load temps are under 60c always. Great cooler, when paired with my MSI P67A-GD65 and MSI GTX 560, solid as a rock.

I changed from a stock cooler to this noctua cooler and saw about a 20 degree drop  on idle, 20 degree drop  during games, and a 30 degree drop  during a prime 95 torture test.Great cooler, I also plan to install a different fan since they 120mm fans can also be mounted.

Noctua NH-C12P SE14
Cons: I'd go for tower based coolers if you want more cooling performance.

Pros: QUIET. 140mm fan. Easy to install. Low profile.
Comment:
I originally inteded to get the noctua tower coolers but this was on sale at the time so I went for it. It's nice and low profile so you'll still have plenty of overhead clearance and it doesn't get in the way of the ram like some tower coolers do. Comes with a 140 mm that's really quiet. If I was overclocking I'd go with the noctua tower coolers as they're alot better when it comes to dealing with load temperatures. But if you're not and space is a concern then I would take a look at this.

Use that cooler to overclock my build (i7 930). I got some troubles making it stable at 4Ghz.Couldn't get it higher for sure without lowering my ddr3 ram. Overall, great cooler for a mid to high overclock.

Noctua NH-C12P SE14
Cons: none really. You get what they advertise and you will run at safe temps.

Pros: Extremely good quality: Cooler feels solid, the hardware and brackets are well identified. Instructions are crisp and clear.VERY silent fan; pushes a good amount of airGreat for Mid towers and limited space, although it does take a hefty amount of space when it sits on your motherboard
Comment:
I purchased this 3 months ago since some of my software was making my CPU run extremely hot according to speedfan software. I had also had an instance where the stock fan of my i5 stopped functioning for two days. So after quite a lot of research I decided to go with the noctua c12p because of the size, cooling capability, and silence. As of now, I am not dissapointed. It fits perfectly in my antec 300, keeps my CPU 5 degrees or so above room temp and never in the dangerous zone even when ripping DVD's, and finally, this thing doesn't make a noise.Great purchase

Cons: None.

Pros: Easy installation, clear documentation, 140mm fan, low profile.
Comment:
I was almost trembling at the prospect of removing my stock 775 cooler and installing this one.Noctua provided a product that was incredibly easy to install (even for a first timer like myself). The different kits were identified and the instructions clear (no engrish) and concise. Performance is great. I run my 9550 q 3.4ghz and achieve temps of 30 degrees idle, 55 after an hour of prime 95(stress testing). Despite being pretty beefy, this cooler fit nicely in my fairly cluttered mid tower. A sound purchase. Have no worries.

Cons: A. Connecting 3-pin power fan connector to the motheboard was a challenge since I have not removed mine from the case (Antec 300)

Pros: 1. Easy to install heatsink and fan - following Noctua instructions for AM2+ socket2. Clears RAM modules nicely (Mobo: ASUS M4N82-Deluxe RAM: OCZ 8GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 OCZ2P8004GK)3. Cool running; cooling AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE p 3.8 GHzidle to light use: 34-35*C (+/- 1*C)Prime95 (for 1 hour): 48-49*C (+/- 1*C)Noctua thermal compound NT-H1 was applied per Noctua recommendations - pea-size.4. Packaging of accessories was nicely done, with resealable/reuseable baggies.
Comment:
I was very impressed with the overall quality and presentation of the product. Personally, I found the instruction very helpful and easy to comprehend. I have bought and additional (front intake) fan for my Antec 300 case - used the Noctua website to determine the type required. I highly recommend this product and shall buy Noctua products in the future. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-14-10 07:34 PM

Comment:
Its quiet, its cooling the cpu I7 860 and the component around it just be carefull with the memory heat spreader hight...no problem with the G.Skill Ripjaws, i was just too scared to try the Trident serie. When i unpack it i was really supprised by its size, but still no installation problem and its clearing all the MoBo components. When the fan is control by the MoBo bios on my Gigabite P55AUD4P, the first blade spin seems to be really painfull but when the heavy blade finally spin its really hard to notice any noise even with the case side panel open.Well, Thermalright just lost a loyal follower !
