Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:Getting those first few threads to grab is a challenge. The fan power y-splitter cable should have been a bit longer and I would like to see the wiring on that sheathed.
Pros:Keeps i5 2500K cool at slowest speedLow profile 130mm height, super flexible 1-fan top, or bottom, or both configurations are possible.I love (seriously) how the instructions say tighten until the screws STOP. I didn't get the feeling they were going to strip, they really did have a definite stop and that was with quite a good amount of torque. Comment:
Needed to build an i5 machine with the least amount of fan noise possible, a low-profile cooler, and still keep it cool; the Noctua C14 does that easily at its lowest (750RPM) setting with dual fan. In the end really pleased with cooler.Very sturdy mounting hardware on the motherboard. My only complaint is how awkward it is balancing such a large fan assembly over top of the CPU until you get those first screw threads to catch. I would really like it if you could put the fan over the CPU and really feel that everything was aligned. Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:-Slightly louder than expected at full fan speed.-Fans not PWM
Pros:-Great cooling performance in a lower profile cooler. -Noctua mounting system is excellent.-Comes with two quality 140mm fans. Comment:
I recently purchased this cooler to use with a i7 2600k/Gene-Z combo in a Lian Li V354 mATX case. If you're using a low profile ram there shouldn't be any issues installing this cooler but be aware that the fan clips may come close to a graphics card in the first slot. If you're worried about the clip touching the back of the card just use some electrical tape on the clips. With everything installed and the processor overclocked to 4.8Ghz and vcore at 1.35 idle temps are in the mid 30's and maxes out at under 70C. This is in an mATX case with relatively limited cooling and a GTX580 to keep things warm. I did find the cooler to be louder than expected, but decreasing the fan speed fixed that and cooling performance was still exceptional! Better still, I've tested the heatsink with the fans turned off and during gaming the max temps are still under 70C with just case airflow. Highly recommend this cooler! |

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Comment:
I had Zalman CPU cooler on my I7 920 w/MSI x58 Pro Overclocked to 4Ghz and my Temp at full load was about 89c. Got the Noctua NH-C14 on same processor and motherboard and it ran about 72c OC to 4Ghz. Upgraded my motherboard to the ASUS Sabertooth x58 w/Noctua NH-C14 and my I7 920 at a full stress Load on Linx was 63c! Excellent Cooler not as loud as my GPU fan at max so its a fantastic CPU Cooler so far. Def Advocate this CPU cooler. Also was the easiest CPU Cooler I've ever installed. Zalman is not extremely fun. Fits in Antec 900 great with 120mm side fan still attached. Little large and makes it a small challenging to plug in the 8 pin CPU connector. Only genuinely I guess if you have a smaller Case I have Antec 900. |

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:No noteworthy cons mentionable.
Pros:Bought this cooler for my HTPC(Thermaltake DH101). Its a snug fit but well worth it.....this is simply an AWESOME dpu heatsink fan combo!!...Presently I'm using it on my Q6600 and P5K premium....but its a no-brainer that it will be going on my next rig....probably an I7...seeing as how its compatible with sockets 1156 and 1366...!! Highly recommended...no doubt. Comment:

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:Included fans are only 3-pin, fan clips are awkward to use, can block memory slots in some installations
Pros:Well made, highly efficient, very well packaged, support brace included, good for cases with height restrictions, fan speed reducers are included, cooler can be mounted in any of the four directions Comment:
From the moment you unbox this cooler you can see the attention to detail that has been paid by the manufacturer. The box is huge, since the cooler is well protected by cardboard buffers on all sides. The cooler itself comes with the fans pre-installed, but you may want to remove and reinstall them if the cords are not facing in the direction you want. However, the fan cords are pretty long so that shouldn't be necessary unless you are picky. Speaking of cords, attach your EATX12V motherboard cable before you install this cooler, since you'll have a heck of a time to do it otherwise. The mounting hardware is provided in separate pouches for Intel and AMD builds, which is very welcome. While there are common parts, the actual motherboard mounts are custom for the CPU you have, which means a perfect fit without extra 'bits' sticking out.Even the instructions are neatly arranged in a folder with Intel instructions on one sheet tucked into one side, and AMD instructions tucked into another sheet on the other. You'll find that they have included an additional 'brace' that can optionally be installed to prevent movement of the cooler. This was done in response to concerns that there could be oscillations in certain situations, as well as the potential for stress if the case is toted around to LAN parties and such. The brace is easy to attach but - be forewarned - if you attach the brace onto the cooler you will not be able to remove the bottom fan without removing the cooler from the motherboard. I didn't install it, since my case is never moved.Overall there is only one 'con' that is worth discussing, and that is the choice of fans. Noctua has included their own 140mm fans, which are quite efficient and quiet. The problem is that these are 3-pin fans, so if you have a motherboard with a 4-pin cpu fan connector, you won't get the benefit of fan speed reduction. Furthermore, since there are two fans on the cooler, they need to use a 'Y' connector to connect them both to one header. If you don't care about noise, you can just connect them both up and you are good to go. However, if you want a quiet build, you have to install the fan speed reducers and accept extra heat at full load.Solution? In my case I went with a two-pronged approach. First off I put the 9V fan speed reducer on the bottom fan to drop its speed down to that of my chassis fans. Next I took off the top fan and installed a Thermalright TY-140 fan, which is PWM compatible with a 4-pin connector. (Which at time of writing was the only 140mm PWM fan I could find that was a decent brand and quiet.) While it is a tight fit to get this onto the cooler with the fan clips, just use some needle nose pliers and you'll be able to do it. With this done the Thermalright fan was running at 20-30% at idle, controlled by the motherboard. Once full load is reached it ramps up to 100%, and keeps an i7-2600K (at 4GHz) no hotter than 65*C.I didn't deduct a star for this, since it is a 1/2 star deduction at most, and they did include fan speed reducers. However, I do think that moving forward they should consider a solution that takes into account the ability of boards to reduce the fan speed as needed.Otherwise, you won't be disappointed with this cooler. While it is not quite as efficient as its big brother the D-14, the fact is that the D-14 is huge. If you have the room for the D-14, by all means go for it. Otherwise, if you are tight on space, this is probably the best cooler you can buy. Heck, even with one fan this is a great cooler for builds where height is a concern. You could take off the top fan and just run it with one fan. (Running at full power, or a TY-140 in place of the bottom fan.) I certainly have no regrets on this purchase. |

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:Not really.
Pros:Nice and big! Comment:
Pretty general use heatsink. I replaced the one comes with CPU. Temperature drop from 44C to 33C when idle, stays around 70C when full speed, i7-2600K b 4.5GI only use one fan cuz my ram is to big. lol |

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Comment:
This cooler works nicely, the packaging is quite superior, the directions are clear. My temps run extremely low 30c idle and high 40's c in COD Black Ops. Running Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge. If your case has the room buy it! Its very significant and I was unable to use each fans. If you dont have access to the back of your motherboard you will have to remove it to install the cooler. It did fit properly in my Antec Nine Hundred Two V3 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower, and the case was desined to enable access to back side of motherboard so that was awsome. Even although one fan had to be removed to fit over the ram this thing keeps the cpu nice and cool, I also turned all the case fans to low so its pretty really too! |

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:A bit big, but you know what you're getting when you buy it.
Pros:Noctua's quality. Hassle-free installation. Huge performance boost. Silent. Comment:
Many people complain about the colors of Noctua's products. This is the branding the company decided. My 2 cents is that no products in computing hardware is using these colors, it makes it very original and stands out in your build. If you're not happy, get a paint can, sand the plastic and turn everything black. |

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:
-huge-stability bracket MUST BE MOUNTED BEFORE MOUNTING HEATSINK-fairly pricey-not too sure about the desert camouflage colour scheme
Pros: -clears Gskill ram with the large heatsinks in dual fan mode.-quiet-comes with everything you could need, AMD/Intel mounting equipment, low noise and ultra low noise attachments, stability bracket, SCREW DRIVER and thermal paste. Comment:
Overall, this is one of the best air cooling solutions you can get. If you see a sale, jump on it, but be aware of size restrictions of your case. Fits fine in Armor A60. |

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Cons:
A bit large.
Pros: Quiet and just as good as the mothership D14. Comment:
Overall, I am very happy with the performance. The install is a bit tricky and might be a bit hard if your case is tight but it is well worth the Noctua reputation. |
Then I don\'t forget that I can't hear it. This is a excellent CPU fan, incredibly straightforward to assemble and vivid instructions with no no question of "is it secure". It even comes with a screw driver to make the assembly simpler. Its quiet so I dont notice it too a lot and its flexible, If I had a larger case I would really like to use each fans nevertheless low clearance mode is fantastic for the smaller situations. Its excellent at moving air. CPU is at 43c. Thats a small high but I have my Power provide blowing its hot air ideal in it and it nonetheless manages to keep my cpu at a reasonable temp. Tight fight in smaller circumstances - I purchased the Thermaltake ARMOR A30 VM70001W2Z and my power supply rests correct on best of it. High quality. If you want what you spend for this fan is fantastic. Yes its a small costly but you get what you pay for. Great corporation excellent fan, I am throughly impressed.
