Noctua NH-U9DO A3 AMD Opteron, 4 Dual Heat-pipe SSO Bearing Quiet CPU Cooler
Comment:
Well, I was like becoming driven crazy by the noise of the dynatron heat sinks that I had. Those had been spinning at 5400 rpm generating a lot of noise. Fundamentally driving me insane. At 5400 rpm CPU runs at around 30 degrees C. When I attempt to tune it decrease at 1800 rpm, my CPU hits more than 50 degrees celsius. Noctua brings my CPU down to 22- 27 degrees celsius. And it is whisper quiet I hope they will write in huge block letters to take away the plastic prior to putting on the thermal paste. I was one particular of these not also clever blokes that applied the thermal paste on the plastic. My computer kept restarting and I wondered why. Hope absolutely nothing is spoilt.. :( |

Noctua NH-U9DO A3 AMD Opteron, 4 Dual Heat-pipe SSO Bearing Quiet CPU Cooler
Comment:
It dropped the temp on my AMD 6128 14C! Even with the fans at the fastest speed (RPM) it's quite quiet. I'm extremely happy with the peace and quiet this heatsink/fans has given me over the A6. My processor is now running at 28C vs 42C. Even loading up the CPU, it only reached 38C and has created my system usable considering that I don't have to listen to a screaming fan. Took a tiny although to assemble and get everything in the ideal spot. It's a pretty major heatsink so you need to have to make sure it will fit in the case and you have enough space around the processor for the fans. A single of the fans are close to my DRAM chips. If you have the space and you will need a quiet system, this is the way to go. I'm really pleased I tried this heatsink. |

Noctua NH-U9DO A3 AMD Opteron, 4 Dual Heat-pipe SSO Bearing Quiet CPU Cooler
Cons:
None, except not compatible with rack mount 1U and 2U cases due to height.
Pros: Quiet, perfect fit with Socket G34, works well with one or two fans, small enough not to interfere with any mobo components Comment:
I bought these to cool two Opteron 6168 processors and they haven't let me down. The base is big enough to cover the large, nearly 2 inch "long" CPU heat spreader and it comes with both brackets for 3.5" and 4.1" pitch Socket F1207 or G34 configurations. So far, with the fans running at 75% they are keeping the 6168s at a nice, cool 42 degrees celsius at full load. I'm sure it would go into the 30s if I ran them at 100% fan speed, but since my other coolers (it's a quad board) have louder fans I've set it conservatively. One nice additional feature, is the ability to orient them so that the fans exhaust towards the back, top or bottom of the case.Right now these are the best, and most flexible G34 compatible coolers around. |
very good build quality on heatsink and fans
