Nokia N900 Black Unlocked 3G GSM Smart Phone/ Mobile Computer With Maemo Operating System
Cons:Still a bit raw in terms of bugs and the odd yet-to-be-implemented feature, but improving fast. Keyboard, while nice to type on, is 3-row, which can be annoying due to low number of directly-accessible special characters. Doesn't yet support TTLS-PAP authentication for WPA1/2 (often used on university networks)

Pros:Fast, "real" browser (based on Firefox 3.5). Communication integration/extensibility (IM protocols are plugins, dialler/chat apps are medium-agnostic). Multitasking. Beautiful screen. Plays DVD-quality movies without conversion. Mostly Open Source, with good transparency and opportunity for direct involvement/feedback with Nokia.
Comment:
The N900 is a gorgeous phone, and is truly a mobile computer. When it comes to browsing, you get the Real Web. Even heavier sites like Gmail with full AJAX turned on are usable. Contacts management and IM are all smoothly integrated - no need for separate 3rd-party apps to use protocols that aren't officially supported. The media player experience is rather "meh", although it works just fine, and there are third-party media players coming out. The camera is good enough for mobile usage, and better than some, but don't expect to win any contests (it's also kind of useless in low-light, even with the flash). The keyboard is good, but although those with broader fingers may feel a bit cramped, the tactile feedback and rounded tops make for a pretty good experience. E-mail has had mixed reviews, but I personally have no complaints after the first update. Oh - except that for some inexplicable reason, there is no search button... yet... :S MMS is not included (or exposed, at least?), but a third-party app is in testing now that allows that. Note that the touch panel is resistive, so while it's very responsive, it does have a different feel compared to, say, the iPhone. This means no multitouch, but some gestures are available, such as swirl-to-zoom in the browser (search Youtube for demo), and swipe-from-side to switch between browser pan, select, and hover (!). There is a decent stylus included, but it shouldn't be needed much. Comes with a terminall preinstalled, and getting root access is as simple as one download (Nokia disables it by default so people don't bork things, but fully encourages you to enable it if you know what you're doing). The Open Source community around this device is strong, and both developers and users can find plenty of friendly help at the community site (maemo.org) via forums, mailing lists, IRC, "Brainstorm" suggestion box, public bugtracker, and more. The battery life is intended to be one day of mixed use, and is pretty close, in my experience. In summary, the N900 is a powerful, flexible, hackable device. Being a new platform, there are bugs, and missing features, but no real flaws. It is very capable, and runs many desktop Linux apps with minimal porting (note I say "runs", not "runs well" - that takes a bit more work :P). I would consider it great for many people, but not for everyone, so make sure you do your homework before you buy it (and don't whine on the forums if you don't). If you want an awesome phone that puts you in full control, a web experience that's hard to match, and a computer that's always in your pocket, I would recommend it without reservation.

Nokia N900 Black Unlocked 3G GSM Smart Phone/ Mobile Computer With Maemo Operating System
Cons:Battery a bit low but next firmware might help

Pros:Pocket laptop, FMtx, IR, 32GB, speed
Comment:
Excellent cell phone, internet device, not as many apps as other platforms just yet of course as it just came out but a lot more potential for controlling your own device and getting the maximum out of it...
