Actual usable depth from front rail mount position to back of case is only 400mm. You lose 50mm to the front door assembly. |
Purchased this a few days ago and just mounted it today, for my purposes it works excellent. It barley fits one of Norco's shorter 2u cases (RPC-230 & RPC-231) and probably would fit the 4u versions of those too. I did have to use an angled power cable for the 2u case though as the standard ones are a bit too long.It arrived scratched up but that was the shippers fault not NCIX or the unit.The only problem is it can be a bit tricky to assemble, there are probably almost 100 screws and a few are in very hard to reach places.Note that it does not come with fans, it has room to mount 2x 120mm fans on the top. Unless you want to run a hot-wired power supply in there they will need to be 120v (To bad NCIX does not carry any 120v case fans...yet)I am using it for pfsense, patch panel, network switch, kvm switch (when i get around to ordering it), and modem and it works great.
